Re: Sale vs Leicester - 21st February 2020

Hopefully Geordan gets another well-earned promotion soon. The further he gets away from the playing side of things the better. That said, and a little cold water for those pinning their hopes on Borthwick, Murphy has stated that he (GF) will still be selecting the team (I mean, why wouldn't he, rig...

Re: QUINS VS TIGERS 28TH DEC

I wasn't "blaming the ref", just observing that Tigers were starting to get on the wrong side of him. If that is ok.

Re: QUINS VS TIGERS 28TH DEC

Scrum great, but two hilarious attempts at driving mauls from fairly close in, and got sacked. With hindsight, should have taken the points...

Re: Wales v England

Jeez, Farrell was poor. His decision making was off, and then the execution of said decisions was sub standard. Not what you need from your captain, and, not for the first time, he is unable to be the rallying point to get England back into a game that is starting to go wrong. I couldn't believe Eng...

Re: The Derby Round v Northampton - Premiership Rugby Cup

22% possession - tough sledding for the lads today. Saints needed a bonus point win and selected their team accordingly. You could argue that at the moment every game counts, that Tigers need to do whatever it takes to try and get some momentum and dig their way out of the slump, and that the psycho...

Re: Bath next week ....

The bad: couldn't get hold of the ball, when we could, couldn't hold on to it. When we did, didn't really know what to do with it. The good? A remarkable and fantastic losing bonus point. The team never gave up, and after a first half camped on their own line, making tackles, somehow (and despite th...

Re: Bath next week ....

It absolutely HAS been all Bath, and no complaints with the scoreline on that basis. However, that doesn't alter the fact that Bath have two dubious (at best) tries, that didn't even go to the TMO. I think the commentary winds us all up though! Am not sure what the Tigers attacking plan is, as the g...

Re: Bath next week ....

Getting absolutely marmelized. Heroic defence but the damn is going to break in a big way, and a bonus point defeat is on the cards. That said, why JP, who has used the TMO well, not checked either of the last two Bath tries... neither of which were. Still, some god-awful moments from Tigers. Two ch...

Re: Ulster v Tigers

3 points won't win Tigers many games, to be fair.

Most dispiriting is crucial attacking line-outs. Enough already! I'd happily pay a premium on the season ticket just for this one - relatively basic - aspect to be sorted out, even just to average standards.

Re: Saints v Tigers

The good news? (The only news!) - a win!! And a win vs Saints, and a win away from home! Just superb, and let's hope Tigers can build momentum from here. Less good news? Pretty much zero territory and possession. Appalling rolling maul. A bit clueless for most of the game, and some boneheaded decisi...

Re: Ben Kay on Rugby Tonight

I think must of us would settle for playing a slightly better style of rugby, a bit more Tigers' "dog", and perhaps eradication of a few of the more unecessary / long standing problems, ie there is no good reason why the line-out has to be quite so bad (and persistently so). Where that gets us at th...
