Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Saturday 07th May 2022 - 5-30pm KO
There apparently is no salary cap in the URC league. I would be very surprised if the Leinster wage bill was less than £10M which is nearly double that of the Premiership. If we signed Itoje, Lawes, Smith, Tuilagi , Radwan, Willis and 2 or 3 others up to their salary cap we would probably win the Eu...

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Saturday 07th May 2022 - 5-30pm KO
I have always wondered how much the Pro 14 title actually means to those taking part. Clearly English clubs see a great deal of importance in winning the league but is it the same for the pro 14 clubs or is it taken as a competition to be used to keep players fit and in form ofr Europe? Am I paying...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park
What do we reckon - leavers to be announced this week given there's no fixture? Allows next week to all be about the Wasps match. Depends if all the leavers have been finalised. For example there's a chance that say had TCD been planned to be released, Dolly being injured may change that. Think I w...

Re: Tigers vs Wasps - 04th June 2022 KO 15:00
I know Nadolo struggles defensively sometimes, but he's directly responsible for minimum one try every single match, whether by walking through the opposition or being marked by 4 defenders and creating a walk in for someone else. Has to be in the 23 if fit. Big men like him will not turn on a sixp...

Re: Other Weekend Games - 20th to 22nd May 2022
Wasps are a far better side than the one that beat us up at The Ricoh! Saints will need no motivation in the Semi as they will see a chance of putting right the two defeats we have inflicted upon them. My worry all season, and what a great season it’s been, is our game plan and back play won’t quit...

Re: Other Weekend Games - 20th to 22nd May 2022
Easy to criticise the officials but Tempest has almost lost control of this in my view. Lots of chatter and confusion He had to yellow card ?Ross for abuse. There seems to be a lot more chopsy over the last few weeks. From what Tempo said it was bit of a Hartley situation as I’m sure he said I’m no...

Yes like him a lot but I suppose we are bound to lose some players to keep below the cap especially bearing in mind that we have signed a few players.

Agree but if it came down to keeping Saumaki or Kini think I would sooner keep the latter due to his versatility .

Really don’t mind who we get at home as we can beat anyone. Yes it won’t be easy but we have almost a fully fit squad and have already beaten all of them at home in the league.

We are well stocked in the back row so not too concerned.Jimmy Skitz wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 2:25 pmI'm hoping with all the talk of changes in the Welsh set up they get rid of that illegal selection rule, or at the very least make a deal with Prem Rugby to have the same access as England do to players
