Re: Ford out of England Squad

Eddie Jones must be the only person in the country who thinks Jacob Umaga is a better pick than Joe Simmonds. Sport is all about opinions. There are some on here who think Thacker is an international class hooker and that Castro would make a good scrum coach despite having no coaching pedigree :smt...

Re: Legal case with ex-players

Can’t see any of the rebels getting a very warm welcome if they return to Welford road with another team after this debacle.

Re: Premiership Final hit by Covid!

Is it bad I want Wasps to win? So do I as would sooner see a side that plays exciting rugby than a kick to the corner side It seems to me that Exeter have stolen our clothes from the Johnson era. Play a very similar game, deadly catch and drive etc., albeit without a jackal. I can't dislike them fo...

Re: George Ford

I ruptured my Achilles’ tendon a few years ago and if you manage the rehab correctly there should be no long term problem. George does not have a tear as far as I am aware so providing the tigers medical team look after him and he does not overtrain he should be ok

Re: European finals 2020

Cockers inherited a good (Very good) squad that he, as DoR, oversaw a gradual decline over many many years across forwards and backs. There may well be exacerbating reasons for some of the frankly odd recruitment under the latter years of his tenure (that summer we signed a load from Treviso spring...

Re: Bye Bye Boris

Always sad when someone leaves but it's happening a lot everywhere. The balance between set piece strength and mobility around the park hasn't been right compared to top sides at this level IMVHO. Agree about the balance. Hopefully Boris will turn up at my second team the crusaders (he is a New Zea...

Re: European finals 2020

Exeter are probably my least favourite club in the premiership. Whilst I agree that they are very efficient in the red zone they seem to get away with murder regarding blocking and diving off their feet at rucks. Their style of play is the anti-thesis of attractive rugby and I will be supporting Rac...

Re: The Rebuild

Given the short turnaround between the 19/20 and 20/21 seasons and assuming all squads have been assembled fully post-lockdown then the post-lockdown results should be a guide as to what might happen next season. On the basis of these nine rounds of league games, this is what the table looks like (...

Re: The Rebuild

Didn't Ellis ask Brookes how many caps he got one game after turning him inside out again. Wasps at present are at least the sum of their parts, we certainly are not. I’d go so far as to say that Wasps are the most attractive team in the league to watch at present and I pray that they beat Exeter i...

Re: The Rebuild

If you were to make a XV from Wasps and Tigers, what would it look like? I would go with something like: Cole Taylor Genge Launchbury Lavanini Willis Taufua Liebenberg Robson Ford Nadolo Gopperth Fekitoa Bassett Murimurivalu Seems pretty even to me. OK, Barbeary might be in there in 6 months, and y...

We may have a traditional dislike of Wasps but no denying they play a very exciting game of rugby
Put their backs with Exeter’s pack and mix up the BR and you’ve probably got the worlds best club side
I’ll have some of what Scott’s on

Re: Pat Howard

With a potentially very good back line it doesn’t seem to make any sense to constantly kick the ball away. Even when taking kick-offs( of which there are plenty) we still kick too long instead of giving the forwards a chance to compete.
