Re: Doom and Gloom

On a slightly more positive note Exeter are thrashing Glos so by the end of the day hopefully our top 8 (makes me shudder to have such low expectations) will be confirmed and our place in the Champions Cup 2025. At least we shouldn't finish outside the top 8 if it continues this way... Not bothered...

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00

Bristol are not a bad side and when there game clicks, they are a danger to any team….ask Saints and Newcastle….they now sit in 4th place with 10 wins. Tigers did not allow them time to get the ball away and were very good defensively. The Bristol bench was stronger and the introduction of Lahiff an...

Given that a bonus point win was needed, I guess that was the intention…keep the pressure on an hope for the tries.

Matthew Carley is the man in the middle for Leicester Tigers’ clash with Bristol Bears, alongside assistant’s Jack Makepeace and Simon Harding. Rowan Kitt is the TMO for that game.

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00

I think that Bristol v Newcastle was a result waiting to happen with a weakened Falcons team , played on a wide grass pitch which was probably soft and draining on the players. Whilst Bristol looked good, the Falcons tired (normally on a 4g pitch) and Bristol took full advantage. Saturday will be a ...

If you focus on the performance and get results, the play offs may be achieved.
Primary focus needs to be on the performances.

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

I cannot think of any club above Tigers that have gone through so much change or disruptions in the last few years. Other clubs have coaches who have been in place and had time with the players. Losing half your coaches mid season was not great. It is going to take time and a World Cup season was al...

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

Given the disparity in available players the result didn't surprise me. I'm happy to give McKellar time, I think the whole attack coach fiasco is a poor reflection on the club management, feels like he's been dealt a bum hand! What a massive excuse that is - do you really think he wasn’t given the ...

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

In the last six competitive 6 games that Saints have played, they have scored 214 points whilst also conceding 173 points. They have great attacking threats but are leaking points. Some of the teams they have played have a game of running rugby which will always carry risk and a looser defence. Slow...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I’m kind of glad Nic Dolly is leaving. He’s too good not to be playing regularly in the premiership. But at Tigers he would’ve been struggling for time on the pitch. Deserves to be in a 23 regularly. Leaves us three senior centres so the rumours of bringing someone else in must be true. Think Dolly...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Leicester Tigers are set to farewell a group of senior squad players at the end of the season. Forwards Francois van Wyk, Nic Dolly and Dan Richardson will finish up their time with the club, Jasper Wiese having already confirmed the current campaign will be his last in Leicester earlier in the seas...
