Re: May 17th Fans back in Stadiums....possibly?

The club are constantly talking about the desperation to get fans back into the stadium, so I'm sure that is an indication that they're willing to take the financial hit for one game, especially if the signs remain good for a complete return of fans in September. Since it has been a year since the ...

Re: May 17th Fans back in Stadiums....possibly?

Even a quarter full Welford Road will be be better than nothing. (And probably more than some sides would have got in normal times) If things are clearly going well t may well be the numbers might be greater and the Crumbie open. Indeed it wouldn't be that hard to keep parts of it open whilst allow...

Re: Has Rugby Got a Refereeing Problem?

One of the major issues is that we are moving from an experienced group of Refs losing Barnes soon, Owens but we do not have sufficient refs at that standard globally. Domestic refs standards are lower than what we have experienced....why....are fewer people wanting to take the abuse that comes alon...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE V: Borthwick Strikes Back

given the restrictions on selecting overseas players and the fact he will be on a decent wedge of cash, Diaz Bonilla isn't worth keeping, McPhillips is a decent enough number 3 10 and we could use the wages elsewhere How many games has Bonilla played in? He is a class player but needs to find the f...

Re: Next up London Irish - home - 5th March 2021

If we are genuinely building for the future, then you have to question the logic of selecting certain players for what is in effect a meaningless league season. To help provide a platform for the other guys around them The season still has European qualifying places up for grabs.....top six is stil...

Did Curry alert the ref that he cheated by playing the ball off his feet. You can’t have it both ways.
Curry gathered the ball from the charge down without it touching the ground.
While he was lying on the ground.
I dont think that he had been tackled so he can play the ball..

Where have we cheated? We’ve not made any decisions.
knowingly scoring from a knock on is cheating yes

Re: BRISTOL vs TIGERS - Sat 27 Feb 21 (1300)

Longer the game went on the better we looked. McP is a better player than DB and offers more threat. Bench made an impact. We are still not clinical enough but fought very hard and their only points were the YC. Lots of positives and SB will have learnt a lot. YC? DB? Please could we try to use ful...

Re: BRISTOL vs TIGERS - Sat 27 Feb 21 (1300)

Bristol tried to play quick rugby and put Tigers under pressure for a lot of the game but the defence was immense and a good shift was put in by all. Bristol are a good attacking and defence team and that may be why they are sitting at the top of the table...

Re: BRISTOL vs TIGERS - Sat 27 Feb 21 (1300)

Wigglesworth appeared to pick up a knock last week and was regularly partnering Henry at half backs.
JVP and Bonilla maybe another pair that Borthwick wants to give game time and see this partnership develop.
The overseas players rules certainly put an emphasis on selection.

Re: May 17th Fans back in Stadiums....possibly?

Why?! If you've been jabbed you're ok. Do you really think theres that big a difference between me being or not being jabbed? Most definitely. I'm surprised that you obviously don't, Why would anyone not want to be jabbed, if not for the good of themselves then for the good of the community at larg...

Re: May 17th Fans back in Stadiums....possibly?

Dont forget that the natural capacity will probably be reduced to about 18,000 with the Crumbie Stand being out of use and designated as a RED Area where only Players and Officials and designated people will be allowed.

Re: May 17th Fans back in Stadiums....possibly?

Two points: 1. For years I have produced vaccination certificates when being sent abroad - Malaria, Hepatitis alphabet soup, etc. Medical staff must be vaccinated against hep B, C etc if they work in theatres. So what's different about a domestic one? It also seems that vaccinated people are not tr...
