Re: London Irish Away

I do think we lack a cutting edge at 13 too, you see the difference Rona made today. Fingers crossed Moroni can make a difference

Re: London Irish Away

If we show the same lack of control against Exeter, we will get absolutely reamed. Serious lack of game intelligence. Kicked the ball away way too much, but didn’t have the intensity to force them into errors. Just plain awful. We didn’t even look close to scoring a try today, infact I don’t really ...

Re: London Irish Away

Irish look distinctly average, we look worse. Too many errors, lack of discipline and kicking the ball away too much. Bower’s hips look way too high on setup at the scrum. Putting himself under pressure. Listening to Monye, 5 minutes ago he was saying Irish are too one out, losing the collisions, no...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

Wasn’t there talk of looking to add a prop or two, some second row (cover for Lavanini), a fly half and outside centre? De Bruin & Bonilla have arrived, but nobody else. Now the season has started, will that likely be our lot for now? Although South Africa clubs seem to be haemorrhaging players, may...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester - Teams Up

I see much talk of who Gloucester were missing, but to put it into context, these players were missing today for us Genge, Mamukashvili, Leatigaga, De Bruin, Lavanini, Enever, Martin, Taufua, Youngs, Ford, Nadolo, Scott, Moroni, Murimurivalu. That’s 14 players, and only two non-internationals on tha...

Re: Jan McGinity

He has done a good job. He’s stated quite openly that he prefers looking in the South African market, hence we finished with a full SA back row maybe, plus two outside back starting, and a prop on the way (quarantined).

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester - Teams Up

Early days, but....
There seems more ambition to keep the ball in hand.
Wiese looks a real handful.
Reffell looks to be picking up where he left off.
Steward likewise.
Wigglesworth looks so composed.

Re: Geordan Murphy

The no relegation theory would make sense. First thoughts are maybe there will be no DoR replacement, and the role will be absorbed between McGinity and Borthwick, being brutal, it’s a salary saved in the current climate. Just bring in coaching replacements for Taylor and Stankovich. I wouldn’t be s...

Didn’t we have Ma’afu and Feao in 18/19 too?

Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20

There’s a highlight reel on De Bruin and he plays both sides. Having both him and Leatigaga able to do that would help significantly, assuming the rumour is true and we are looking at him.

Re: Positives going forward

Season has been hugely disappointing, let’s not sugar coat it, were it not for Sarries salary cap indiscretions, we’d be facing up to a stint in the championship. For a club like ours, that’s simply not acceptable. I don’t think we’re too big to go down, no club is ever too bog for that, your result...

Re: Tigers vs Quins - 04 Oct 20 15:00

Back row balance will be interesting. I think we missed a hard carrier today, having two sevens added breakdown presence, but we missed a destructive presence in the way Dombrandt was for Quins. 6. Taufua/Brink 7. Wallace/Reffell 8. Liebenberg/Wiesse I’ve actually been impressed by Murimurivalu, not...
