Re: No tackling at schools debate
I got knocked out once at school, my head was in the wrong place. Taught me to tackle properly. So long as kids taught properly we can't molicddle them

What's up with Ayerza
Penalty after penalty, scrum always collapsing on his side. Genge comes on and srum starts moving forward. This isn't the first game this season he seems to be struggling with, or is it just me?

... but his prevarication over Betham's deliberate knock-on via his nail polish ... gems ... Burns' kick and catch which did lead to a try, and JPP's excellent all round contribution. He gives the lie to the comment that our overseas players are not pulling their weight. +1 on the good news side a ...

Re: an evening with cockers
I've only been following rugby for the past few years (drifted away from football). What is the general opinion of cockers among fans? way to split the voters. 3 distint camps on here 1 - he can do no wrong 2 - he should be sacked post haste 3 - the rest of us who think he does the best with what h...

Re: Sale
They should get too much of an advantage straight away since there is a salary cap......What the money will allow them to do is build foundations. A better academy longer term it makes them more competative though because of the salary cap credit you get for your academy turned 1st team squad, whic...

They will say stuff just to make someone rise to the occasion!!

Re: Tigers win Granby Hall bid
I once had this strange idea many years ago, before we built the new stands, if we got that site we could build a new stadium with the pitch rotated by 90 degrees giving us something that would have been acceptable for the world cup. Pity this wasn't 10 years ago. However I look forward to something...

Don't pack your suitcases for your holiday to Barnet yet, according to TRP league table Tigers are 5th behind Sale. Someone having a laff! ITV had Quins in 6th and Sale in 7th on the graphic, even as they said 'Sale playing Champions Cup rugby finishing in 6th' so it's a bit of a free for all anyway.

Re: Sale v Tigers
ok it was a poor performance but we still should have won 34-27. enough has been said about Gonova, there's 7 points and a penalty try. for petes sake the linesman said 'he came in at the side and prevented the try being scored'. rule 10.2(a) A penalty try must be awarded if the offence prevents a t...

Re: Mike Brown.
Apparently he asked the ref if he was legal to kick the ball and was told 'yes'. I Have no verifiable source for this but if true it's difficult to cite someone if the ref didn't say 'be careful of heads though'.

Re: Farrell must go
...Farrell reminds me of Ashton in many ways...being generally silly! However, the fly-halves' performance is a reflection of the ball they receive, and to my mind Ben Youngs remains a problem (I await the backlash). The opposition players barely need to do anything to slow up England's (or Tigers'...

Re: England vs Italy
Apart from his hat trick, can I ask why Joseph should have got MOM? Scoring 3 tries doesn't necessarily mean he was the best player on the pitch. I didn't see the game so it's a genuine question. he read Italian passing well and scored a great intercept try - plus point he was fed an easy ball that...

to get back on topic
I think the idea of protesting against the 'sweeping under the carpet' has more validity.
I dont think the method suggested, or the location, does this.
Brooms, outside rfu meetings might be a better symbol of what is being protested about.
