Re: the Champions Cup
It's good. Proper real hard games from the off for all the teams involved. And 3 from 5 second places rather than 2 from 6. This is what we wanted with no Connacht, Edinburgh or Zebre also-rans. Ten proper games each European weekend. Bring it on.

Re: Nigel Owens
Lack of consistency dreadful. They kill it under pressure 2 yds out and no yellow. We do the same15 out and desperate to get his card out. Added to his usual talking to one team whilst pinging the other which we've all come to know and love from Leinster vs English or French teams in the Heineken. W...

Re: Toulon v Saracens
Finding it hard to care, but much as I dislike Saracens they put in an incredible semi performance and virtually every reason I can find for not liking them is at least equally applicable to Toulon (money, bought club, dull playing style). I also feel that having Toulon winning back to back HC would...

Re: EPCR meeting today
To be sure, it's a terrible shame the entire European competition is no longer going to be run from Dublin largely for the benefit of the Irish provinces. How very unreasonable. :smt002 Hopefully the Welsh regions and Italian teams will now use the extra money they will have (further to new Euro arr...

Re: Toby Floods last home game for TIGERS
Best of luck to Flood and hope everybody gives him the credit and appreciation he deseerves. In my view he's made a massive contribution and been a complete professional throughout his time at the club. He tries to play an aggressive and creative style of rugby which exposes him to considerable risk...

Re: Teams Up v Saracens
I'd love to watch this A league where teams take to the pitch with 9 full internationals plus another 2 on the bench. When and where does it happen regularly? :smt002 Sensible squad pick having due regard to Saracens who've effectively rested about 18 of their first choice 22. Can see why Northampto...

Re: Heineken Cup no nearer a resolution (2)
I have no idea whatsoever what the split of cash will be, neither has anyone as far as I'm aware revealed how much the TV cash will be other than that I assume it will not be what it might have been since no broadcaster has exclusive rights. (thanks largely to PRL, who did a secret deal with BT &am...

Re: and the ref for Clermont
Maybe now Rabo games will start counting for something they'll force Celtic refs to actually referee the game. For my money Clancy is the least bad and would have been my preference. Owens is fine unless you're playing Celtic teams, which we always are when we get Owens, but at least fairly consiste...

Re: and the ref for Clermont
Was always a risk when playing a French team. Ability to parlez francais obviously much more important than understanding and enforcing the laws of the game when it comes to picking referees for HC QFs. Could be worst though, as at least we're playing Rolland roulette vs a French team rather than a ...

Re: Well done St Andre! - Picamoles dropped!!
I presume Gatland isn't going to drop any of the three Welsh morons who thought it was necessary to pat Picamoles on his head and tousle his hair (post being awarded a penalty) to cause the whole incident. Whilst not condoning Picamoles' reaction to either them or Rolland I don't see why the behavio...

Re: Teams Up
No surprise to see Flood has been sent to the naughty step, along with Thomas. Displeasing Cockerill never a good idea. Any debatable selection call bound to go against you once Cockerill feels crossed. At least we get to see if Williams is up to it, and gives him a chance to stake his claim. Have ...

Re: Tigers v Glaws
Today disappointing by itself, but now really worried re direction of club and coaching. Waldrom not perfect but is a credible 1st choice premiership 8. Crane isn't. So which one is going? Deacon honest but spectacularly pedestrian in all elements of play, surely there's a better bench option? Smith...

Re: Toby Flood
Feel slightly sorry for Flood. Some lambasting him for lack of interest whilst others think he should be calmer. Think he's trying too hard, but a lot more chance when mele on plus goneva and waldrom. One he gets the ball promptly at a consistent height and two he has two potential ball carriers and...

Re: Tigers v Glaws
Lucky. Flood not good today, but greater frustration is with Smith and Crane. Not sure what they are there for. Utterly lacking in premiership class. Goneva and waldrom added attacking options and threatened glos in way which manifestly hadn't happened for previous 60. And will somebody please put B...
