Re: Sarries Accounts
Buying titles? I didn't realise it was a transaction process, I thought who wins finals tends to win the trophies? And I have just had a quick google http://rugby.statbunker.com/competitions/HomeAttendance?comp_id=436 Admittedly its 13/14 but 6 clubs had a lower attendance that year than Sarries, s...

Re: Sarries Accounts
It is not a good situation for the game - hopefully some form of financial fair play rules will be introduced in rugby. I find it particularly annoying that Saracens appear to have actively taken a long term decision not to be sustainable, in that committing to a 10,000 seater stadium means that the...

Re: Home advantage to the final?
I would prefer the olympic stadium, but i may be biased given that it's only 20 mins from my house! Would knock at least 2 hours off my usual journey. More seriously, can't see the point in city ground or pride park. No bigger than king power and just awkward for everybody. Anyhow, need to win a QF ...

Re: Stade v Tigers
Hard to bring the same intensity. They have to win and we don't. Not an excuse, but in any walk of life you can sometimes find more when you have to.

Re: ECC
Still think Munster might do us a favour next week. They won't fancy losing back to back home EC ties and in a strange way may feel less pressure next week. Plus not convinced Stade travel well. Here's hoping.

Re: Healy the thug at it again
If there's any karma in the world then a (non dangerous) injury that happens in the first few minutes of the game and keeps him out for longer than the 2 week ban would not be an undeserved outcome.

Re: Worcester v Tigers
We were always going to have to rotate more this year given the post rwc fixture pileup. What's good is that you look at the teams selected and the combinations make sense with the team staying balanced. Think we have to approach on the basis that you'll win nothing this year without 30-35 players w...

Re: Owen williams, how good is he?
Owen Williams is a slightly worse Owen Farrell. Good defender and kicker but he makes a lot of errors in attack whether they be poor passes, knock ons or ignoring the opportunity to go wide. He makes too many stupid errors ATM to be an international Am incredulous that anybody who saw Friday's matc...

Indeed. Profound sympathy to our French visitors and their compatriots. Dreadful news.

Re: Stade Francais
I thought that was the best game I've seen us play in at least a couple of years. Obviously not perfect and some errors, but so much pace to everything we did, game had more excitement than half of the games last season added together. Definite shift in terms of our risk appetite and worth it. Smith...

Re: Matias Aguero signing confirmed
So Tigers have made a short term signing of an Italian prop, to cover for an injured Italian prop, who covers for a Samoan prop and an Argentinian prop. But apparantly club rugby is not to blame for woes at International level, even though the scrum got destroyed in the RWC. :smt017 Over-conditioni...

Re: 3 Games in.
Two big things appear to have changed: 1. We look like we've been coached and have a game plan. 2. Our work at the breakdown in both attack and defence is much more precise. And new additions all contributing. Williams monstered today's game. Like Betham, Mccaffrey, Fitzgerald, Bateman, Fonua too. M...

Re: England vs Wales - Ford dropped
I just lost the will to care about England, which is gutting cos I was really enthusiastic until then. Makes no sense. Why de-bulk and fine-down the pack if you're going to revert to bosh? Why field pacy creative wingers who are never going to see the ball? Etc, etc. And the irony that Faz senior is...

Re: Pumas saturday.
Was a really good occasion. Felt quite old school with no stand at one end. Game played open but with big tackles and driving mauls added. Great to have a big group from cardinal newman school there for marcos. Good skills on show, and some cracking tries. Pearce looks good for this season. Enough t...

Re: Cipriani Rules....
I still don't get the Ford bashing. His game isn't as consistent as Farrell's but that's because he has so much more variety to offer and poses many more questions than Farrell. Absent a bullying pack how will there be penalties for Farrell to kick, given that that's basically all he offers? If our ...
