Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Premiership - Friday 10th May 2024 - KO: 7:45pm

The likes of Clive (Eddie Jones is another prime example) are regularly guilty of trying to make things more complicated than they need to be, because they're trying far too hard to look clever. Steward just needs to play a bit better. That's all. The same could be said of Tigers as a whole at the ...

Re: New Supporters Forum?

I assume that it's no more than a case of knowing that there will be injuries to cover, squad members who don't work out and get traded, and just knowing that there'll be business done in the market after the season starts. So maybe they don't know how they'll spend up to the cap, but they know with...

Re: 23/24 Injury/Suspension/Absent International List

Different refs have their own lines the players shouldn't cross, which is understandable. Where it gets annoying to this viewer, especially given you can't hear everything that's said, is when a ref says "I don't want to hear from you again" and then remains all chummy with the other team....

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00

That's because the winning teams are usually the ones who got the bounce of the ball. Look at our title winning season, so many times we got the rub of the green, a favourable refereeing decision, a lucky bounce. A lot of off-field things aligned to give us a chance of a title, which the players to...

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00

I'm not inclined to blame the head coach for everything that happens on the pitch, but I can't imagine for a second that anyone's immediate instinct is to kick away posession from the opposition half like that unless it's an attacking grubber kick or chip ahead for a runner coming through at pace. ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Do we not think that the current problems go beyond Pollard? And bedding in a new first-choice 10 is going to set us back a bit in our "journey", if you will? Pollard's kicking from hand certainly isn't what we might expect at the moment but I don't think the Saints defeat was a question o...

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

If Radio Leicester attributed the bare quote "I'm not worried about the play-offs" (I don't know if that's what they did, I don't do Twitter) then they have kind of stitched him up, because, as mentioned, context is everything, and I would imagine the Tigers press office having a word. If ...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

Well done to all of the guys who held out at the end - I really don't know how we did it but we did. As far as the penalty count is concerned - we were under a bit of pressure in the scrum before the penalties began to lead to yellow cards and after that, I think we were somewhat lucky to only have...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

McKellar and the club are suggesting that retention rather than recruitment is the aim right now. This could purely be for the benefit of the agents who are looking to get the highest price for new recruits. But it does seem to me like a lot of churn would be bad for the squad (what constitutes &quo...

Re: New users! Say hello, introduce yourself here.(new thread)

Hi, long-time lurker now decided to join in here, possibly just as therapy after a defeat! Don't get to Welford Road much, due to being an exile down here in the London commuter belt, but catch every match I can on the box.

Cheers
