Re: Champions and Challenge Cup Semi-finals - 2024

Just goes to show the best in the Prem can still challenge the best in Europe. The best in the prem can challenge the Irish national training squad? All the prem sides are doing is providing match practice and funding for the Irish national side. It's about time the Premiership and England looked a...

Re: Black Lions match

Why we wearing pink rather than proper Tigers’ shirts. Not a clash with the banana yellow and black of the Georgians.

Re: 23/24 Injury/Suspension/Absent International List

For me there has to be more rigorous application of marching sides back 10m for backchat.

Far too much of it at times. More obvious on TV than at the ground.

Would we not be better off in the second tier European competition?
At present it's unrealistic to expect to compete with the budgets of the top French sides and Leinster. So why waste resources and risk injury with no potential silverware.

Re: Craze for alternative club names

I agree.
If your club has history don't meddle.

If your club has no history nobody gives a monkeys because it has no association with the team.

Who on earth gave the sharks handle to Sale?
Doubt many get up the ship canal!

Re: Doom and Gloom

The desire to see youngsters get game time is also a reflection that some of the players getting picked are pretty ordinary and are not going to improve with more experience.

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00

Since Aled went to England we have become a weak Team in the last 20.

Those will have a memory will recall how we were once a team who, if they were close in the last 20 we could expect to win,

Cockers didn't feel we needed a fitness coach and we became average...

Re: Doom and Gloom

Was the salary cap not reduced? Ultimately to make like for like swaps was always going to be unlikely. For me loose head is our biggest weakness. Cronin is a decent bench option but rarely injury free and looks unfit. Behind him the others are even weaker. We have effectively failed to replace Geng...

Re: Richard Cockerill’s damning assessment of Scottish Rugby

When you have been seen to have prioritised obtaining your international players from other countries over development of home grown talent, the costs are likely to be high and ultimately block that talent that is there which is pretty demoralising for up and coming players.

Kelly looks to be one of the few who have shown signs of form in the last couple of matches. Certainly both Porter and Kelly lost form after their England stints. I think Kelly had only just got back to full fitness so would always have been marginal for world cup consideration and realistically Por...

Ignore the defeat to Leinster.
The concern is losing the games to Gloucester and very nearly away at Newcastle.
That form wasn’t going to trouble Saints.
