I agree that bringing in a wing might not have been a big leap but playing Steward and Brown on the wing was hardly a success.
Do players have to be out for 3 months if the injury takes them past the end of season like Simmons and presumably Bassett & Watson?

Injury dispensation
Given we have had a few players that have long term injuries, did we not bring in replacements. I can understand that we had enough locks when Henderson injured his knee but wing is more puzzling with no sign of Watson, Porter, Bassett and Simmons for ages. Are we in financial trouble? Or just accep...

Re: Law changes coming in to effect 1st July
The simple solution to caterpillar rucks is to that once a maul has formed, any player joining must bind onto 2 players in front of him. At a stroke, the caterpillar requires twice as many players to resource its extension. And enforce the 5 seconds to use it. Saw it happen in the ladies 6N but neve...

Re: Law changes coming in to effect 1st July
Injury, bootlace undone or dodgy contact lens at the line-out, yes. No re-scrum from free-kick? I agree with Samhorace. Protection of the 9 should be extended to the ridiculous amount of harassing that some are getting at the scrum. Agree. Neither scrum half permitted beyond the ball and contact wi...

An employee being suspended for the investigation of an alleged incident does not prevent the employer from bringing in someone else to carry out those roles. It can’t be seen to affect the outcome of the disciplinary process and if the disciplinary process does not result in dismissal or resignatio...

Re: Dan Mckellar
Employment law may well prevent the termination of an individual contract until the process has been completed but it doesn't prevent the employer from bringing in a replacement on a temporary basis. Nor does it prevent the employer bringing in someone to take on the role of a failing coach. It migh...

Re: Dan Mckellar
The most concerning thing has been our form at the tail end of the season. Internationals back but looked like 15 players and not a team. Undoubtedly hampered by some poor recruitment - loose head and wing being obvious gaps, made worse by injuries. Conditioning hasn’t been up to Premiership level, ...

The job advert is likely to be lip service to be seen to open to applications even if the decision has been made.
Few would doubt the loss of Aled has been difficult.
Get the attack sorted and not make a dogs breakfast of handling and we should be fine!

Perhaps 8th place is a more realistic appraisal of where our performances deserve. We did OK during the World Cup but since then we have slowly gone backwards, in spite of the return of Cole, Martin, Montoja, Kata, Pollard and Wiese. Even with the 6N it's surely long enough for the team to gel. Why ...

Re: Champions and Challenge Cup Semi-finals - 2024
Just goes to show the best in the Prem can still challenge the best in Europe. The best in the prem can challenge the Irish national training squad? All the prem sides are doing is providing match practice and funding for the Irish national side. It's about time the Premiership and England looked a...

Why we wearing pink rather than proper Tigers’ shirts. Not a clash with the banana yellow and black of the Georgians.

For me there has to be more rigorous application of marching sides back 10m for backchat.
Far too much of it at times. More obvious on TV than at the ground.

Would we not be better off in the second tier European competition?
At present it's unrealistic to expect to compete with the budgets of the top French sides and Leinster. So why waste resources and risk injury with no potential silverware.
