Anyone know the official attendance? Great to be back today, the lads left it all out there, and the atmosphere was great, but seemed to be a lot of empty seats…

No doubt about the effort Dolly put in.
When he was subbed he barely had the energy to walk back to the bench.

I fear that we will lose Freddy S to England.
Dominant at full back.

A team effort. Well played.

Re: Cockers on the move!!

He is a proven coach. There are coaches who can assemble a team and those who can get the best out of a team assembled by others. I think Cockers falls into the latter category. There are very few coaches who can do both. In the England set up I hope he will get the forwards to thrive and give a col...

Re: The start of the end?

I think the legalities and risks are clear to the participants who take part knowing the risks. Those that pay them to fight and regulate the industry have legal obligations to ensure that fighters are fit and reasonable safety measures are in place to avoid the risks of unfit fighters and mismatche...

Re: The start of the end?

Anecdotally I would say concussions have become more common in recent years. Bigger, faster players results in more energy in the impact. Hard to make individuals smaller or slower. Changes are needed. Union has become more like league (where stripping the ball in the tackle is not allowed) so the e...

Re: Match day Parking

The problem with the park and ride is that it finishes too early for evening matches and Sundays.

Re: Match day Parking

Sadly last time I went down Saffron Lane had cycle lanes in the road where we used to park. This was ignoring the extra-wide footpath on either side which has included a cycle lane for many years. Yes Saffron Lane can lay claim to having 2 sets of cycle lanes. Only in the former Soviet State of Sir ...

Re: Club captain

I guss it reflects that it is no longer the case that OTY commands a starting berth at hooker and that Genge has shown himself to be a leader on the pitch and good with the press when on England duty. For me he should be England's starting loose head and when fit a shoe in for the Tigers, subject to...

Re: Match day Parking

We usually try to park on the bus lane, not sure if that will be still possible, especially if our esteemed Mayorship decides to create another cycle lane. Oh yes he blocked out a lane to create a cycle path on Saffron Lane. Not withstanding there was already an extra wide pavement with a cycle lan...

Re: Lions 2021

Struggled to get into this tour. The selections seemed replicate England’s errors in the 6N with too many picks from Sarries among the England contingent and a very predictable game plan of Warrenball without the key players to make it work particularly in the centres. Let’s hope the next Lions come...

Re: Props who can scrummage both sides

The requirement to have a full front row took away the emphasis on having props capable of playing on both sides so specialism increased. Jason Leonard was perhaps the last of that era of international quality on both sides in terms of English players. As for Bateman, I felt we made a mistake in con...

I thought they were unduly lenient on Lam. Not quite bloodgate but not far off in its own way.

Re: Youngsters v Seniors Which is the strongest team?

What did they say about Man U, “You don’t win anything with kids?” Your best players are your best players regardless of age. If you have 2 with nothing to merit one over the other, pick the younger - they will improve with experience, the older has likely already had that opportunity. Some players ...

And with Reffell in the back line mix too.
We should have a pack to go head to head with any in the league.

Just got to let them give it to the backs now and again.

Re: Lions 2021

Corbisiero and Ayerza were probably of a similar standard, however injuries denied the former of the career he might have had.

Ayerza just did the job time after time for Tigers and Argentina.
