Re: Has Matt Toomua Played His last Game For Tigers

why do the club need to say anything? It was said at the forum that Toomua was here for this season and that was only a week ago. True, but it is unsettling to see him described as 'former' Tiger by Planet Rugby! find a better class of website to read with respected journalists, Might be wrong here...

Has Matt Toomua Played His last Game For Tigers

A quote from The Guardian website.
Ultimately, two second-half penalties from man-of-the match Toomua, after flying back for a final game for the Leicester Tigers last week, decided the game in the Wallabies’ favour.
I know he's leaving us but to only play 1 game this season?

Ben Kay is called M'Lud, with reference to his late father, Lord Justice of Appeal, Sir John Kay.

Re: How good was Austin Healey?

I say again if he is a genius what the hell is Barry John etc. I never saw Barry John play, (he quit while i was very young), but reports are that he was a very good player. Reports also say that he quit because he couldn't handle the media hype, clearly Oz edges that contest!! Edwards? He was good...

Re: Jordan Crane's gesture's

Because the occasion has been more high profile it has been picked-up on.... Surely people have noticed that when Alex scores, he always has the same celebration..maybe it's related to his faith considering he crosses himself each time.. but none-the-less, it's always the same. Just that it's a litt...

And the comment below: "Today definitely not, I am 47 years of age , and rugby has gone on to a much better level then in my times back in the mid eighties and up until 90; I played top level rugby at Leicester Tigers , when I was at Leicester Polytechnic 81-84, I joined the same day as 'Deano...

Re: new club captain annual discussion

There have been many players who have had their name bounded about as 'Future England Captain'. I remember the chat at the time that Johnno and Ben Kay were pretty much a certainty for England 2nd Row. Kay was tipped as a F.E.C. Didn't quite happen for him there... I recall Louis Deacon's name being...

Re: Now that Tom V has gone, who is the quickest at Welford Rd

I remember watching a game earlier in the season when Scott Hamilton was chasing a ball. When he puts the pedal down, he has a long stride and, if it's possible for a rugby player, he's quite graceful covering the ground. There's almost no upper body movement. So, it's possible he could be a bit of ...

Welsh Rugby Attempts the Soccer AM Cross Bar Challenge

3, maybe 4 years ago, our beloved Tigers did the Cross bar challenge. it's no secret that Oz indeed hit the cross bar from the half -way line. This week it was the turn of Wales' finest rugby players, including one Gavin Henson. Some of you may remember that Mr Henson was in the studio the week that...

Re: Hougaard Leaving ?

According to the ERC rugby web-site... The 25-year-old Blue Bulls outside half was the leading goalkicker in the 2007 and 2008 Super 14 tournaments and will be joining forces with his former coach, Heyneke Meyer, at Welford Road after signing a three-year deal with the two-time Heineken Cup winners....

Re: Wasps v Tigers LIVE discussion here please.

How can they explain giving a penalty away against a wasps scrum with Voyce as flanker? rubbish :smt013 And did you notice just how straight that feed was?? Not!! Robinson was stood next to our Cole when he fed it directly to his second row!! I thought initially that was the reason for the whistle....
