Re: season has ended below the prem

It can't, it mustn't, mean that. There would be an outcry from the rest of the Premiership Clubs and from 99% of fans.

Good luck to him - a fine player - and yes lets hope he helps bring the game on in the US.

Re: England v Wales

The concussion against us was in December 2016, so just over 3 years ago, not the 4 years the Welsh (journalists?) have said. North claimed at the time it was a neck injury not a head injury.

Re: England v Wales

This is from WalesOnline “North returns to the field following his concussion against France, having completed all protocols. All testing has been undertaken with the addition of a world-renowned concussion expert reviewing his return - something which was said to be proactively sought by the WRU me...

Re: Coronavirus: Sarries know best!

Place additional controls on top of advice = caution and common sense...considering said future consequences. England's approach, absolutely nothing wrong with it. For me that should read as follows Place additional controls on top of advice = totally unnecessary and pandering to those who are pani...

Re: Coronavirus: Sarries know best!

BFG I did so in a way which shows the absurdity of the RFU position.

Re: Coronavirus: Sarries know best!

What’s so special about travelling through Hong Kong Airport BFG? There are 103 cases in HK which had a population of 7.4 million in 2017. Sure, it’s an airport so people from other potentially affected areas travel through but that’s true of all airports. Has everyone who’s travelled through an air...

Re: RFU halves Championship funding.

It’s the RFU that cut the funding not the Premiership. It’s more that the RFU is taking the decision not to allow the money coming into the game via the 6 Nations and HQ ticket prices/TV money/sponsorship to filter down to the level where clubs need support ie the Championship and further to grass r...

Re: Nemani Nadolo

After all , one never knows when the next incarnation of Harry Ellis will come along. I remember when Ben was exactly that - the exciting young prospect who would we hoped one day would replace Harry. Happened sooner than any expected or wanted (apart from Ben perhaps). Stuff happens to players and...

Re: Cardiff game IS on TV

Clancy also killed the breakdown and that was what made it a scrappy game to watch. A part of Ben White’s difficulty in getting quick ball was the number of offences going unpunished there. Of course that always happens but there were times yesterday when ‘rolling away’ seemed to mean ‘roll on top o...

Re: New way of supporting Matt

So, good that he has been nominated, not so that it hasn't led to an award (yet). Perhaps a constituent on here could get on the case with Sir Alan's successor (if that's how it really works)?

Re: New way of supporting Matt

Has anyone on here, at the club or among those who know the work of the foundation nominated him though? For all I agree about recent political awards there is increasing scope for direct nominations. Here:- https://www.gov.uk/honours

Re: Tigers vs Bristol - 04th January 2020

Both Lewis and Reffell are very good defensively but not the biggest ball carriers. If Spencer is back in the row with Lavanini then having them both in the backrow should be fine. Otherwise we might have to draft in Thom Smith or the loan signing to give us some more ballast ball in hand as Green ...

Re: QUINS VS TIGERS 28TH DEC

First 5m line out was turned over because of a very early push by Quins defenders. Should have been a pen to us all day long.

Re: Exeter Chiefs 21st December

Half time was the factor, Exeter raised their game, we could no longer break them down. So, what happened at half time? This a genuine question. What did Exeter/Baxter do that we/Geordie didn't or couldn't? The contrast between the two halves was astounding - we played as well I've seen us play for...
