Wasps doing the right thing

Glad to see Wasps are acting to support their recently ex-player Kearnan Myall with his post retirement Mental Health issues. Perhaps they haven’t forgotten all that rugby should be?

Re: European fixtures

Any idea when the specific Challenge Cup fixtures will be announced? The Pro14 fixtures were announced in July, Top 14 fixtures are available, so too our own. Last year the equivalent fixtures were announced Friday 17th August, so I'm hoping later this week, but someone here will surely know when....?

The stand of course is ‘decorated’ in a much lighter green.

Re: England WC squad

Anyone know what the regs are for injury replacements being added to squads mid tournament? To answer my own question, this article appears to cover it - https://www.scottishrugbyblog.co.uk/2015/09/rugby-world-cup-rules-a-guide/amp/ In short replacements are permanent so the player replaced (on med...

Re: England v Wales

I reckon Eddie will be disappointed with Ellis giving away pens needlessly, again. His was one of the pens in the sequence that gifted Wales a try that brought them back into contention - and it wasn't the first or only one. Add to that a complete failure to tackle at one of the Welsh breaks in a ma...

Re: Ground development

As you can see from the links the last amended plans were submitted to LCC on 12th June. I don't know how often they have meetings but the final date has not yet been set so it will be at least August. If these are just about submitting a final set of plans to show compliance with previous planning...

Re: Ground development

Simon Cohen told the Mercury on 29th June this year when discussing the sale of the club that the hotel plans were unaffected by the proposal. At the time that the plans were given permission and Marshall CDP were announced as partners (ie November last year) the plans were for a start this summer a...

CVC Kite-flying?

Is this a runner? https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/wales-four-regions-playing-new-16621172 Would destabilise the European competitions and possibly the French too. Would find no favour in Italy, or South Africa and perhaps too in Ireland (but they wouldn’t want to be left high and dry and w...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

The regulations are pretty clear imo and should mean all third party arrangements are included in the cap. What Sarries have done is little different from the days of Shamateurism. I don't see much problem in the arrangement so long as it counts toward the cap , quite the reverse. What matters is wh...

Re: Super Rugby Final

Don’t think you can say that, he was young and very homesick, Tigers would have loved to keep him We tried very hard a couple of times to bring Matera back - never managed to agree terms. So, he came off the hook and we haven’t been able to get him back on however we try. Not a matter of blame just...
