Re: Tigers v Pau Saturday Nov 16th

Who says it’s a binary choice between accepting mediocrity and supporting the team when they need it the most? It’s your attitude JGT that is most worrying. With that attitude 11 of the 12 sides don’t deserve support because they aren’t winners. It’s that attitude that got us to Saracen’s’ salary ca...

Re: Tigers v Pau Saturday Nov 16th

The team meetings seem to include 'touching base' rituals - taking the chance to touch base and re-engage with pre-determined goals via physical cues.

Re: Tigers v Pau Saturday Nov 16th

Pau may have had a second string side out but these were no mugs. Their pack was immense, must have had a couple of stone per man on ours, and several inches in height/reach. The ref was broadly OK first half although he seemed not to understand their front row was popping up first half, and must ha...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

There's one point I'm not clear about in all of this... What about this season? Are Saracens still spending above the cap? Since the cap includes win bonuses etc they cannot know that until the end of the season, unless it is obscenely obvious... I understand the fine was calculated at a ratio of 3...

Re: The World Cup Final

A shake up is afoot... “I tell you what happens to teams – they evolve,” Jones said. “Some guys will lose desire, some guys will lose fitness, some guys will get injuries and there’ll be young guys come through. So this team is finished now. There will be a new team made. We’ll make a new team for t...

Re: Premiership Round 1 - Worcester vs Tigers

Mike, if you're basing that on Saturday's game Vs Saints I suggest you take a close look at the highlights. Eastmond not to blame for any tries this last weekend.

Re: PRC Round 4 - Tigers vs Saints

Just looked at the highlight clips - Eastmond only implicated in one try - the last one which, as said elsewhere, had a clear forward pass, and in which it was the man outside him who missed the tackle, as did two others. It was fans' favourite Thompson who gave the ball up through an impossible off...

Re: Non-England World cup thread 2019

Was it poor technique? He was trying to wrap him up, to avoid the offload and, given the concern about high tackles, he is encouraged to go with his head up so he can deal with any late dip by the tackled player. Biggar’s tackle in which he dislodged the ball with his head was poor technique as his ...

What was Carberry thinking kicking it into touch? Great win for Japan.
That it was time to get back in the sheds and start again. And it saved their losing bonus point which could still be sugnificant. Correct decision imo.
