Re: Times report Ford on his way to Tigers

Firstly no one is saying FB's departure is part of a deal and if he does leave it seems it would be Freddie who doesn't want to stay and fight for the shirt. If GF comes it is a sign we can still attract high class players and is nothing but very good news. If FB doesn't want to stay that's up to him.

Re: Bath blocks Ford exit

F1 has release clause contracts, viz Paddy Lowe and Mercedes, who has been prevented from joining a non-Mercedes team. In another example, Ferrari sacked Allison, who has since been on gardening leave, and who cannot join his new team, Williams, until April. There is no element of restriction of tr...

Re: 8th minute Sunday v Racing song

Yes this is a great idea...lets give up before we even start because it probably won't work :smt023 even if 5 people sung it that would suffice Sometimes I find being a Tigers fan embarrassing (and this is not even on the pitch for once :smt012 )...to have a ground full of so called rugby fans who ...

Tuqiri was brilliant for us I thought. We must have watched something different.

Re: Sam Harrison's yellow card v Harlequins

There is a lot of misunderstanding around penalty tries. Law 10.2 (a) The test is not whether a try was sure to be scored, or certain, both of which imply that there must be little if any doubt. The law is that a PT should be awarded if the offence prevented a probable try, so more likely than not. ...

Re: JDV

Roly.... for clarification purposes are you saying that you didn't see any point in Thorn playing last season and that you think he made no impact? I didn't see the point in it and he made limited impact, he was injured for a while, for example. Shrewd move? Whitecap. He's 34, not going to be aroun...

Re: Hard luck Scotland

The referee was spot on even if the ball touched an Australian (as it did). A player is only onside if the ball touches an opponent intentionally. See Law 11.3 (c) In general play there are three ways in which an offside player can be put onside..... (c) Intentionally touches the ball. When an oppon...

Re: Forthcoming season

Now logo is injured and out of the world cup. Gutted for him, and really hope it is not serious and he can make the early part of the season. http://www.planetrugby.com/story/0,25883,3551_78410,00.html There's a surprise. How far towards the mandatory start of the season with 25% of the squad injur...

Re: Manu in the Guardian on injury and arrest

If Manu's story is true and if he had witnesses as stated, then he was palpably wrong to plead guilty. Bad advice, bad decision; fight your corner if you're in the right. He now has to live with the consequences of that guilty plea and this belated explanation is badly advised/timed again in my vie...

Re: Hartley AGAIN

Daily Wail Crusaders could be a good team for Forum members. May need it if any England players scratch their nuts absentmindedly in public or fail to help a granny across the road. I will happily debate the issues with you all at Marcos's testimonial. Probably stood at 22 nearest the old 'clubhous...

Re: Hartley AGAIN

At least when the All Blacks dance away with the World Cup again we'll be smugly polishing the Moral High Ground Trophy. Funny old pattern, this - the posters who rubbish Cockers are many of the posters crowing about Hartley, and some are almost knee-jerk critics of other posters regardless of the ...

Re: Hartley AGAIN

What happened was nothing. Total bl66dy mess, created by Lancaster's ludicrous 'moral' crusade (which included trashing MJ's reputation). I genuinely feel sorry for the bloke. get off your high horses, forum - it was a nothing incident and if it was a Tigers player you'd all be screaming blue murde...
