Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Spoke to Jasper in the ABC at the Black Lion's game about Beets and he said, and I quote, "we've got a good one there - he is a really good player". I smiled as he had said "We've" and he won't be here and "is" a good player not will become or is a real prospect which ...

Wonder if George Bridge fancies a new home ?
You'd still fancy them to win a playoff, but their form is dreadful.
Do you know if the play off is over 2 legs

Re: Joshua Manz

I think Finn is big enough to play lock, and has done for us this season and not looked out of place. Its not so long ago that we weren't sure Martin was a lock, and look how that turned out! For me Martin has always been and always will be a lock. Carnduff could do with putting some bulk if he is ...

Re: Joshua Manz

Yes he was a standout in the prem cup before his injury. Going to be quite hard finding places for these back rowers. Fitting both Josh and Finn in is going to be interesting. You could move Finn into the 2nd row but we are hardly light on young talented locks either I seriously hope this doesn’t h...

Re: Is Tigers emblem unique?

I seem to remember somebody finding an amateur team somewhere using a copy of the Tigers branding but with colours changed to Yellow and Black. I'm certain the logo in the OP would be in breach of copyright as it is a perfect copy with the colours changed. To be fair to the school are likely totall...

Re: Is Tigers emblem unique?

Although they are similar they’re not a facsimile of each other.
A quick google shows a large number of teams identified as Tigers throughout the world and I think anyone would have difficulty trademarking a Tigers head, and at the end of the day there are only so many things you can do with it

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I don't have any stats to back this up, but it feels like being tall and a prop is much more common than it once was. There was a time when the Darren Garforth's of this world dominated. I'm not a front rower so I can comment on why... has scrummaging changed technically? It used to be that tight h...

Archie van der Flier gets Young Player of the Season at Nottingham Just looked at his stats he’s tall for a loosehead. His best chance of quality game time next season will be to stay at Nottingham Same height as both Kiwi loosheads If he becomes as good as De Groot and Williams we’ll all be happy....

Re: Please get behind your team v Exeter

I’m constantly annoyed by tbe refereeing of tbe scrum by people who have never played in a scrim in their life!! So MM where are you going to find all those referrees who were forwards, props, hookers etc etc who know whats going on and how are they going to keep up with the wingers tearing down th...

Re: Please get behind your team v Exeter

For me the little things, hookers feet really aren’t that important in the scheme of things. There are so many laws, and sub paragraphs of laws it would be ridiculous. Things such as the wrestling 9s, which I think they’re dealing with, offside at kick offs which is being penalised more are more im...

The All Blacks props headed by De Groot and Lomax are excellent scrummagers, so if Genge not fit it may be both Quins looseheads touring
