Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022

Will Wand: - Centre/wing - ex Brooksby Melton (Tigers affiliated college) - from (Tigers area) Lincolnshire - can take ‘magic’, ‘wizard’, ‘magician’ monikers left vacant since departure of Harry Potter Coincidence? The rumour that came out of the club was no more significant signings. I know nothin...

Re: Not a new kit Launch.... Tigers Together membership

It does make me smile when I read about long term supporters worrying about a chain of hypothetical events that hasn’t happened yet, and may well not happen, to justify their claim that a 2 tier supporter system is being created and long term supporters are being dis guarded. Be a lot easier if peop...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Think it’s difficult to judge Hanro as he’s not had the best of seasons. But if you’ve got Martin, Henderson, Chessum 456 then he’ll do just fine off the back of the scrum. Also if he’s targeting 8 for next season then he can always put on some pounds in the off season. I don’t think it’s his size ...

Re: Hanro on Englands Radar.

There are games when you want your best forwards on the paddock at the same time in which case Henderson Martin as locks Chessum at 6 Hanro at 8. I think it’s also worth noting how Sarries use their bench, with often McFarland or Gonzalez coming off the bench to great effect. Depending on Beets deve...

Re: Hanro on Englands Radar.

I can see Itoje and Martin being second row foe England for the next few years barring injury with Chessum at 6. Chessum may want to play 6 at club level which could be tough for Hanro unless he moves to No8. I hope we play Chessum in the best place for the club not England. TBH there are a lot of ...

I would agree with you. I think he was but has dropped a little

Re: Challenge Cup Final: Gloucester v Sharks

With reference to the game Sharks won at Connaught yesterday and it looked like they had rested a few, and safe to assume the whole squad will be up here. After some of my predictions yesterday, Saracens would over power Sale !!, I’m reluctant but believe Gloucester won’t get within 15 points of a ...

Re: Tony O'Reilly Obituary

Showing my age, but I well remember watching him at Welford Road. Am a tad surprised that the Club havent commented on their most famous ever winger, still the biggest outright try scorer for the British Lions. Not wanting to split hairs as it’s a sad loss but most famous ever winger? Most fans won...

Re: Please get behind your team v Exeter

A ref at either side of the scrum wold help. Given the touch judges are res why not get the one nearest to come closer and actively call the scrum. At the weekend Painter released his bind and flopped on his ample belly long before Tigers were pinged on the ref's side for pulling it down. The shena...

Re: Please get behind your team v Exeter

We finished with the same win/ loss record as Quins so just shows how important bonus points are as could cost us a place in the champions cup next season. And a better points difference; theirs was negative! I don’t go on any other forums but it would be interesting to hear what their fans are say...

Spoke to Jasper in the ABC at the Black Lion's game about Beets and he said, and I quote, "we've got a good one there - he is a really good player". I smiled as he had said "We've" and he won't be here and "is" a good player not will become or is a real prospect which ...

Wonder if George Bridge fancies a new home ?
You'd still fancy them to win a playoff, but their form is dreadful.
Do you know if the play off is over 2 legs

Re: Joshua Manz

I think Finn is big enough to play lock, and has done for us this season and not looked out of place. Its not so long ago that we weren't sure Martin was a lock, and look how that turned out! For me Martin has always been and always will be a lock. Carnduff could do with putting some bulk if he is ...
