Quins have let go of Matson, reading the statement he's basically on gardening leave from the men's side of things till the end of the season and is just focusing on the women's development for the remainder of the season... https://twitter.com/Harlequins/status/1773032239887941785?t=YgXGZvmgLIoez8...

Re: Preseason fixtures confirmed - 2024/2025

It will be interesting to see how many potential Lions playing their rugby in France are actually released for the tour by their clubs.and how many that do travel will have a job to go back to. Not that many spring to mind. Willis, Kinghorn, will Farrell gamble on taking his son, not sure he will.

Re: Preseason fixtures confirmed - 2024/2025

Realistically how many Tigers are going to be Lions. If he stays fit JVP would be a probable as would George Martin, presently Chessum and Steward are only possibles

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

Ah, OK many thanks for that Rg. Let's hope you're right. I’m going on what has been put on Instagram this morning and what was said during the commentaries at the weekend. I believe they said TNT 5 which depends on who your provider is. Through Virgin I think it’s a separate channel, some you may n...

It is on TNT just not the main game. It may involve pressing the red button

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

If you looked properly you would see that both finalists requested the Friday night kick off given that they were playing each other 7 days later, so proper recovery, nothing to do with TV. So the reason for the final is valid then the other 2 games are at different venues so would affect different ...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

Well one was in a separate competition to avoid the 6 nations super Saturday and to give each team 7 days recovery. Then last Friday and this Friday are home and away games driven by tv schedules. Like it or not with TNT agreeing to cover all games 3pm Saturday kick offs are going to become less th...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Personally I am not happy with our Senior Academy being loaned to National 1 teams, I don't think that level is high enough. I think personally the collapse of the A league is hurting us (and others) Championship teams (and Nat 1 & 2) can only take so many loanees that aren't training with them...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

All the comments about giving youth a chance are imo correct, with the one caveat if they are good enough. The coaches see players on a daily basis and make decisions based on that, and will get crucified if they play someone who is just not good enough. I think we need to look at some of our more e...

I hope it is a shoulder injury, I was concerned it might be linked to the leg injury he had whilst still at Brooksby. I doubt that Lewis was coming the big I am at Lions but he had been playing as captain for the Under 20's and maybe leadership was being misinterpreted. Personally I am not happy wi...

I’m curious about Chessum Jnr and why he wasn’t picked above Carter in the cup. Last year he was as impressive if not more so that Carnduff in this years Under 20s 6 nations. So where has he been since? Is he injured? Harlequins brought Cunningham-South ( who played in that same team and was argot ...
