Re: Tigers social post about threats
I am both saddened but unsurprised by this. I have recently deleted all social media accounts, and in future will be severely restricting my posts on this forum, only checking in for updates on players incoming and outgoing

Agreed its all very fishy to me Can I ask why you think it’s fishy when not all signings have been announced and this has come off the back of one posters supposed good source Very good source TBH and we all know when the proof of the pudding is! I understand a huge frustration for clubs recruitmen...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
He's an uncapped 20 year old. He'll be there as rotation initially and likely taking Cloete's spot in the squad. it's not like Pepper is going to be massively expensive, Falcons apparently offered to match what Bath were offering (deal done before Diamond joined). Given that opensides cop just abou...

Hadn’t seen that. I’m sure I’ve seen pictures of him in training thoughDarc Tiger wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 4:50 pm He's also been down to Pennyhill to do a session with the Red Roses this week

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
Bath sign Guy Pepper from Newcastle on a three year deal. Another good signing... Been mentioned in dispatches for a while though only just confirmed. He won’t be going there as back up he’s too good, so wonder if it indicates Underhill moving on He's an uncapped 20 year old. He'll be there as rota...

Even at 100K increases each that should count for 300K extra off. I struggle to see us just signing 3 players, I don't expect any more obvious starters for next season but depth wise centres will be bare bones. I don't see realistically how we could afford to buy out Simmonds and Marchant and if an...

Depends on the definition of significant. One definition puts it as noteworthy or sufficient importance. By that definition you could say our last significant signing was Pollard, I wouldn’t say any of the 3 signings so far have been particularly noteworthy, though all 3 are good signings imo. With ...

Unless I misunderstood the Wiese situation it was touch and go for a while whether or not he stayed.
I would imagine it then makes it difficult to approach CCS, for example, if he looks at the squad and sees Wiese and Liebenberg in his 2 chosen positions

Re: Championship Clubs Promotion
The Ealing bums on seats argument falls down when you take into account their attendance against Tigers wasn’t much bigger.
Also there are a number of championship clubs who average larger crowds. Even Ampthill and Caldy regularly have 100s in for their home games

Imo Bath are a good comparison. One of the historic power houses of English rugby results have not been great, at least partially down to internal promotion and the wrong coaching set up.
They have now found the right man and have stuck with him, this is his 3rd season, and that is showing dividends

There are so many factors involved. New Coach in a new Country The mess around Dickens Rugby World Cup New Season structure, PRC games first Large gap in the season during the 6 nations. 3 clubs less than previous seasons These aren’t excuses these are facts/reasons not just for Tigers but why the p...
