Re: Lions 2021

Gareth Davies has surely played himself out of the tests, Murray and Price have looked so much better Davies has been awful, Murray and Biggar must be the starting half backs, Daly garbage too, lots of others not up to scratch, missing a leader on the pitch! Davies was poor today but Murray wasn’t ...

Re: 6 NATIONS 2021

Well played both France and Wales. great game, some fantastic tries and great play by both sides. One of the games of the tournament. Didn’t get the Grand Slam but personally I hope Scotland do you a favour and Wales win the championship.

Re: What are we going to talk about for the next two months?

Perhaps we could talk about the government response, or lack of it. For a supposed developed nation the COVID-19 testing programme is a farce. A £350 billion financial support package with £330 billion of it in loans. 3 month mortgage holidays negotiated, you can do that anyway. The landlords left ...

Re: Wales v SA

Not the excitement or attacking play of yesterday’s game but I’ve enjoyed it. Wales have tried to play a bit and SA have done what SA do. Been pretty brutal at the breakdown. Do feel it’s going to slip away from Wales losing 2 players to injury. North was looking hungry and Wales should have been lo...

Re: ENG vs NZ - RWC Semi

Williams out for Wales.... plenty getting their excuses in early on social media now :smt044 :smt044 That’s a shame as I always enjoy watching him play. If only England had a full back of his calibre. Me too, always liked him as a player. Good attacker, great under the high ball and fearless in the...

Re: England v Australia and other Quarters

Sympathy??? He's 6' 8", 20 stone and smashed his elbow into someones face. I don't think he deserves any sympathy, that type of thing shouldn't be acceptable in any game. Whatever Peyper did afterwards doesn't excuse what Vahaamahina did in any way.

Re: Non-England World cup thread 2019

When I played I was quite small for a backrow player and always led with my forearm but even back in the 80's & 90's a forearm to the head or neck would have got you sent off. Kerevi was probably luckyit wasn't an inch or two higher, it could have been a straight red. Poor technique or not doesn...

Re: Wales assistant coach sent home from World Cup

Fissler suggesting he's been under investigation for 2 months. If true, one wonders whether flying him out to Japan was the best move. It actually looks as if this has all happened very very quickly and the WRU for once have been quite responsive. A statement from Welsh Rugby Union CEO Martyn Phill...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non Tigers 2016/17

In response to the question "Where was George North today?" ..... Alan Gaffney: ”You’d better ask George that. We picked a side who actually wanted to be out on the pitch and the best side for the game.” I wonder how many others would rather not be there? Jeez, that's pretty damning. What...

Re: The Six Nations Thread

I don't think there's anything wrong with Williams finishing, we've seen him finish quite a few decent tries. For me it was more a case of a phenomenal tackle from Underhill. Wales were never going to have the space playing away to England that they had at home to Scotland to play the 'Scarlets' sty...

Re: Warren Gatland

Attention seeking to try and keep his job after the stinging criticism of him and his Welsh side kick, both will be getting their P45 if Wales don't win anything this season I think. He just drew a test series in NZ that everyone thought he was going to lose 3-0, I don't think his job is in danger ...

Tiglon you just beat me too it.

I must have been typing when you posted that. If I'd seen it I could have just posted "what he said".

Re: Watching the Lions

I thought it was a great game but I thought the whole of our pack came off second best. Our starting front row and Sinckler row (though he did carry well when he came on) just looked to be carrying too much extra weight ( dare I say fat) compared to theirs. Our front row made the odd carry but could...

Re: Watching the Lions

WHat a try by the Lions, game on!

Just when I thought O'Brien was looking off the pace and not fit enough he tracked that break 60 - 70 yards. And Liam Williams not good enough think again. We needed that because NZ are looking pretty good at the moment.

Re: Watching the Lions

I wouldn't say much better. I don't think he's had a really poor game like Nowell or Watson had early on but also hasn't really had the chances or decent ball come his way to impress either. Personally I think if he'd been playing on Tuesday in that Chiefs game he'd likely have impressed as well. Ho...
