There were plenty of bad things about that performance, but three of the best haven't been emphasised enough: 1) Williams last penalty is the best pressure kick we've seen in how many years? Five? Ten? Without that Saints could have kicked their final penalty instead of having to run it. 2) McGuigan...

I don't think it's that bad. We're down a lot of players, and even zero points doesn't put us out of contention for a semi-final.

Think the ref's been really good today actually, over-reliance on the TMO aside.

Difficult to see us getting out of this one, because we're being out muscled: barely parity in the scrum and they seem to break the gain line with 75% of their carries. I'm sure Mulipola isn't properly fit.

Awful for Tom Youngs: he must have been desperate to show EJ and the rest he's the best English hooker out there, also awful for us since he is. Great to see O'Connor, Slater, Manu and Fitzgerald back, it's almost enough to make you feel optimistic again :)

Have we had a single attack? I don't remember being in their 22. Cipriani has missed 5 penalties -- we should be out of this game.

That was an exceptional result, even if there are still a few things that could be improved. We looked tired out in the last 15, I was truly worried. Our 10 minutes with Ayerza in the bin won it.

TRYYYY Goneva. Though how that wasn't a penalty try I don't know, and it's cost us 2 points. Tigers need to improve their discipline though, too many penalties.

This is a terrible terrible performance, but what a signing Veainu was.

This is a dreadful first 20: poor kicking (with the wind!), poor tackling, awful handling, scrum going backwards on our own ball. The only saving grace is we're only two points down.
