Re: Heads must roll!

Support our Bill. This forum would be a less interesting read without Bill's contribution. Some others don't understand what he is on about. For example "Mene, Mene, Tekel u-Pharsin" - a brilliant contribution that had many of us searching our reference books (as BJ would expect us to do t...

Re: Mat Tait

When watching the SKY transmission from Watford on Feb 19th, I 'thought' I caught a glimpse of Matt Tait during the warm-up. As an earlier post within this topic said before Christmas that Matt was thought to be 2 months away from fitness and as I cannot find any more recent posts (using the forum '...

I think we are missing the point about having to rest players and will not field 'best available' team. I think Lewis Moody, Jordan and Toby will be rested for Sarries, but if not I would like to see back row of Moody, Newby, Woods.

Re: Right captain at last!

My point, Kingol and Tigerburnie, is that Lewis cannot continue as captain through January as he will be required to be rested for 2 games (Louis Deacon and Dan Hipkiss have already been rested for 1) under the EPS arrangement. As we need maxm points from HC games, I assume he will not be available ...

There are 'rest' provisions for members of the English EPS. As far as I know we had or have in the squad:- George Chuter Richard Blaze (currently long-term injured) Louis Deacon Ben Kay Tom Croft Jordan Crane Lewis Moody Harry Ellis Toby Flood Dan Hipkiss with probable secondment of Dan Cole and (if...

Re: Probably the Best Value Foriegn Acquisition yet

And a history making winger... 1st Tigers player in a numbered shirt to score a try Nigerian born Nnamdi Ezulike. And we must remember a scorching sprint back to make an amazing tackle - but what game was that? Anyone know? Again not in the top few imports (I am assuming from the link he was Nigeria...

Re: Probably the Best Value Foriegn Acquisition yet

Dave Lougheed was the name you were searching for - yes a great player, but in the pantheon of great imports probably doesnt make the top few. An example of a line up with Dave in it (and he was a player the crowd just loved when he got the ball, or went for a tackle).... 29th Dec 1999 team against ...

Re: ASM Clermont Tickets

I share your trepidation about phoning a French speaking ticket office, and having to give my card details over the phone. Have enough problems in English. ADSM Clairmont appear to have online ticket purchase, but Heineken not yet on it. http://www.ercrugby.com/eng/13_5574.php then tickets "cli...

Re: Do we still have a "Dynamic league table" on the site?

Thanks for the research and analysis Mr Grumpy. When ( faith fully ) we get 5 points on 4th Jan we will be on 32 after 11 games, and same again in 2nd half of Guinness season will give us 64 and ( faith fully ) a play-off place. Wasps, last season when they finished 2nd with 70, got another 47 leagu...

Do we still have a "Dynamic league table" on the site?

Having read Sean Edwards in The Guardian 2nd Jan 2009, I want to see Wasps and Tigers relative positions in the league after 10 rounds, for 2007/8 and current season. I recollect a 'dynamic' league table that showed the positions at any point in the season (was it part of the 'fixtures/ results' pag...

Andy Powell, Dec 2003

http://tinyurl.com/6d26wc Andy Powell was immense against us in our final game at Cardiff's Arms Park a few weeks ago. Now after international appearances he appears to be in the frame for Lions at No 8, and has pushed aside Wales’ skipper to No 6 in the Wales team. Yes he was with us post 2003 worl...
