Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05
We have a coach who has partially inherited a team of players who in their own right are quality. He is building his own team for next season. Quite right to forget about a clubs DNA - that worked back then when Rugby was a different beast. We need to change and that has been the problem for as numb...

Re: Leinster mind games begin? - Champions Cup (A) - Saturday 06th April 2024 - KO:8:00pm
lets be honest Leinster /Ireland have always infringed at the breakdown and got away under the noses of All the officials. Yesterday - no change there then. That has got to be one of the better performances from still a depleted Tigers. It wasn't Leinster getting it all their own way. Yes still work...

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Champions Cup - Saturday 20th January 2024 - KO: 3-15pm
I agree with all the observations from posters. If we are to get a "W" at Leinster first and foremost Retain the ball, secondly kick the points on offer. If every one turns up and plays to their potential the we have nothing to fear. It would be nice if the officials could martial the offs...

Absurdity and Mediocrity are becoming the norm.
Standards are dropping because we accept Mediocrity, absurdity is the result

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Champions Cup - Saturday 20th January 2024 - KO: 3-15pm
Our defensive work is right up there with the best of clubs. Our decision making is below average. Our attack is akin to hitting brick walls and so static. We pride ourselves on Srum - Lineout and the Tigers DNA to give us a platform all Lacking at present. I can see a big change in personnel at the...

Re: We need to talk about Handré
Ford gave Tigers field position and and go forwards play. Something i've not seen in Andre. Is he working under orders? If we know we are missing the extra 2-3% then against tough opposition why not kick the points when on offer. I know its ifs and buts - if we had kicked our penalty awards could we...

Re: Tigers v La Rochelle (A) - Champions Cup - Sunday 14th January 2024 - KO - 3-15pm
Does the RFU buy the players, pay their wages and fill the club grounds?. Do they arrange the sponsors on behalf of all the clubs? If the clubs buy, purchase and insure the players, arrange for sponsors and fill the grounds home and away then why are we suggesting the RFU cannot allow clubs a higher...

Re: Tigers v La Rochelle (A) - Champions Cup - Sunday 14th January 2024 - KO - 3-15pm
Be honest - we were beaten up, out muscled and lacking some big units. We have fit players with speed. The French have big units with a power game. Bout time we increased the salary cap to allow English clubs to complete on a level playing field. And sorry - my whinge - but since when has South Afri...

Re: Tigers v Saints (H) - Premiership - Saturday 18th November 2023 - KO: 15:05
That's more Tigerish. Some dog in the fight that's been absent . Pluses - Controlled the scrum, Lineout was more effective .Game control more effective , Penalty count down. Minuses - Defence a bit creaky at time. Attack could be better ( still time to perfect ) , the odd player still a little off f...

Tigers not Tigerish
This season has highlighted same old problems.
Great players do not always make for a great team.
I am yet to be persuaded that we have the right coaching set up at Tigers.
Too many errors again yesterday and we are still making the same excuses and waiting for the turn around

Re: Tigers v Saracens (A) - Premiership - Saturday 4th November - KO:15-05
I'm am old bunny. Tigers has always had to rely on 2nd and 3rd string teams during International periods and invariably they have kept us in the fight during the season. I am proud of the effort today against a full bore Sorries. who have targeted this game and showed us the respect by jeopardising ...

Re: SIX NATIONS 2023
I saw a
comment on social media- Kevin S may be new Tigers head coach. May be smoke and mirrors.
Could this be a good move and are the RFU looking at getting Borths on board sooner rather than later?

Re: Next England Head Coach (Pre &/or Post World Cup)
Was always a possibility Borths would be the main consideration to replace EJ. It was my fear we would get on the upward curve and then back the drawing board to scour the world for a top class coach" I already think its a done deal but I hope I'm proved wrong. Gats would not consider club rugb...

Re: Tigers v London Irish (H] - Sunday 27th November 2022 KO 3pm
A poor day at the office. Silly penalties . Dropping off tackles. Kicking for post and drop goals when two or three more phases would have put Irish under pressure. I love what KS id doing for rugby and charitable causes. I am going to be vilified but his bread and butter should be defensive coachin...
