Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Hmmm, not sure Serevi was such a great signing, wildly talented... but a bit of a liability too.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

May is miles more valuable to us than Manu.. We have wasted six years waiting for Manu to flourish. Sorry folks, it isnt going to happen. Sell him, allow him a massive Japanese pay day to cement his future and put the money into a couple of nasty concrete South Sea centres who can do exactly what M...

Re: Borthwick

Firstly the constant negativity on here is pathetic.

Secondly if you are struggling to understand how the arrangement could work then listen to the bbc sport interview with Lancaster from last week. He explains how the roles work between him and Cullen at Leinster. It sounds like a similar setup

The Asian Market

I’ve just arrived in Bangkok with my family and heading out for some food in downtown Bangkok at 21:00 on Friday. I’m really surprised by the number of bars and even a pop up music festival showing reruns of prem rugby on big screens.

It doesn’t count because he doesn’t fit under the salary cap

Top try scorers?

Not sure the answer to this but which club, region, province or franchise has contributed the most tries at this World Cup? We must be right up there with Veianu, Ford, Youngs, Manu and May all contributing so far.

Clearly shouldn’t be why we sign a player but is a nice benefit

Probably could be a good signing commercially. If we wanted to grow the tigers brand globally.

Re: Guy Novès may be looking for a job!

Listening to several British players speaking about their time in France they describe a very disorganised mess. It sounds like there has been no evolution of coaching methods. S and C is done by the players not clubs, diet is not considered and strategy is none existent. I’ve heard countless storie...

Re: Guy Novès may be looking for a job!

Not sure first rate is the way to describe any French coach at the moment. From what you hear French coaching has stayed still for the past 30 years. Leaving French teams as ill disciplined and unstructured shambles.

On second thoughts sounds like he’d fit right in!

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 4

Yes to be fair so have Tigers in an attempt to stay fresh. Unfortunately it seems that not much has really changed, Saracens and Exeter are both built on tough uncompromising forwards and a conveyor belt of academy talent. We seem to have thought forwards who do the grunt work effectively are redund...

Is that an injury dispensation?
