Re: European Challenge Cup - Cardiff vs Tigers

Wow, now even a win isn't good enough for a lot of people on here it now has to be a 'pretty' win against the worlds best team before any credit is given. I went to Cardiff and yes it wasn't the best game but I enjoyed the atmosphere, the spirit and the bragging rights with a couple of mates afterwa...

Re: The World Cup Final

My god this forum is depressing! Of course it's disappointing that England came up short but they were beaten by a better team on the day. This came only a week after one of Englands best ever 80 minutes of rugby IMO. To criticise and blame everyone and everything associated with England rugby is so...

Cardiff away tickets?

It appears Tigers have had an allocation of tickets which have been sold. I don't recall getting any notification that tickets were available through the Tigers, which as a season ticket holder I would have expected! I've been advised by the Tigers ticket office to buy direct from Cardiff Blues. Is ...

Re: Howard to mentor Murphy

Board must go major change required, so club being sold.......must be a sell out, profiteering, lack of commitment by the Board. Coaches out of their depth, so quality additions appointed.......not more ex Tigers, being done on the cheap. Anyone else bored with the endless negativity :smt015 :smt015

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

I read with interest that the 'sack everybody' brigade who now have every chance of seeing that happen suddenly appear to be getting cold feet!! The constant remonstrations about the incompetence of the board have now changed to accusations of selling out and profiteering. It's not particularly prof...

Re: England XV v Barbarians

Yet another thread that quickly turns to criticism of anything Tigers related.

I'm quite reassured that the armchair coaches and experts predicted that England would get buried in this game and they were so wrong. Bodes well for the accuracy of their apocalyptic predictions for next season.

Re: Thoughts & conclusions on the season.

John, I'd like to congratulate you on your bravery in posing the question as it will inevitably become yet another sack Murphy thread. My view of the season for what it's worth is: By far the worst Tigers team I've seen and it's difficult to find many positives. In my opinion the majority of the pro...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 6

For me it's about building a 'team' of players that compliment each other and work well together. That is one of the key challenges for the coaching team as recruiting players that work well together is a challenge. Quality individuals of international class are important but don't win games on thei...

Are you ready??

Good interview with Mike Ford on LTTV.

I'm sure all those on here who struggle to see anything positive are readying themselves to read between every line and dismiss this as another disaster for the club.

Looking forward to it :smt015

Re: Ben Youngs

It's just so obvious to me. Any scrum half requires his forwards to be going forward and the ball to be presented quickly and securely. This allows support runners to time their runs and provides a stable platform for box kicking, distribution of quick ball and the opportunity to make a break. Yes s...

Re: New Coach?

Is anyone else bored with this debate again??? :smt015 But here's my twopenneth! I'm assuming Geordie and his coaching team will have their shopping list and that negotiations on player acquisitions are ongoing or in the majority of cases completed. Given the number of players who look to be leaving...

Re: Podcast with Simon Cohen

Not sure why anyone wouldn't want to listen to this or the other podcasts. I think this series is great and gives a real insight into lots of aspects of rugby, not just the Tigers. I'm sure people will want to be synicle about how true it all is buts that's their prerogative. I thought Simon Cohen p...
