Also thoroughly enjoyed the comms team. Benjamin Kayser is so excitable and enthusiastic about rugby and Brian O'Driscoll calls it fairly and complimentary for both sides.

Re: CONNACHT (A) - Saturday 15th January 2022 - 3-15pm
Wow that was a frustrating watch from around the 10th minute up until the 79th but credit for sticking in their and coming away with the points at the end. Personally thought the referee was very consistent aside from a couple of scrum calls. I thought Leicester looked frantic and trying too hard, m...

Re: BRISTOL (H) - 5th June 2021 (NO CITINGS)
This video clip from the end of the game is pretty clear, have a listen to what a player (not sure exactly who) says from 8 minutes to Tempest! https://youtu.be/D09k_FvrXmU Pretty sure thats our club captain OTY having a word with the ref Yeah, the ref shouts Tom after and you can see TY walking aw...

Re: Yellow Cards At The Scrum
I agree with the above. I don't think the laws need adapting or adding to which in my opinion could be susceptible to further tactical strategies developing, as somebody will always find a loophole or a workaround. For me it is just the officiating of the existing laws, which sadly we were let down ...

Re: BRISTOL (H) - 5th June 2021
Who told Tempest, "You're not strong enough" at the end? I thought it was Youngs Both were off at the time, was it on the way to the tunnel? I'd presume Tom over Ben. I believe it was Tom, after Tempest retreated from the fracas at the end and backtracked further into the pitch. There was...

Re: Starting XV
Concur with those who believe it is more than just a simple case of a best or full strength starting XV.Our game has changed and developed over time , increased squad depth and ability there in has become far more common place today. In terms of ability there will of course always be stand out perfo...

Can't believe he missed out King Leonidas from the Isle of Naboombu! A feisty character and would need to keep his temper in check, but a charmer with the referee!TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 8:35 am Squidge Rugby's XV is very hard to argue with...

Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021
Kruis may be another not being talked about who has a chance of going. Just look at the England pack missing him and Lauchbury and it looks a different animal A good point! Has Kruis been operating at a decent enough standard though and be fit enough? On the flip side to that he might be fresher an...

Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021
Good shout on Joe! I remember him outplaying "The Warrior" in the 6N game leading up to the 2017 tour when he was incredibly left out. I remember the furore at the time, definitely one of the worse none picks of recent times. You're quite right, it was a very controversial call (although s...

Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021
I'm not a follower of the James Ryan hype, which I think is enhanced by the media who see him as the PO'C successor. Admittedly I haven't seen a lot of him other than the internationals, but when I have seen him he comes across fairly anonymous and in the Autumn Nations Cup I felt he was lucky to st...
