Re: Wales 1st in the World?

Just seen a very different angle on this via the Rising Sons documentary they are showing on YouTube, worth a watch if you haven’t caught it. Firstly there is no way it was a penalty let alone a yellow, Watson clearly goes for a man and ball tackle wrapping the arms and in that motion hitting the b...

Re: Kiwi hypocrites strike again!

Ritualistic or not, I still think it’s disrespectful. What you think is immaterial if they are responding correctly within their culture, and the certainly weren’t being hypocritical. In some nations a minutes silence is replaced by a minutes applause, do you find that disrespectful too It's not in...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

Plus I think PRL have kicked off about releasing players early without compensation? I think World Rugby put their hands in their pockets and sorted that out. It wasn't about money per se, it was about insurance (or lack thereof) and the risks that the clubs were taking for no reward. Nations wante...

Re: Wayne Barnes

Nice idea, but I think Barnes wants to pursue punditry. I think he'd be very good at it. Would add another viewpoint as well. Imagine if you had a team made up 1 ex-forward who used to play for Team A, an ex-back who used to play for Team B and Wayne - could be nice and balanced with different expe...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle - 12th April 2019

3 minutes left, Newcastle hammering away with penalty advantage.

Presumably they go for the corner & try the catch and drive?

Re: Tigers v Newcastle - 12th April 2019

Crossfield kick, collected by May and all but over the line but called back for a newcastle penalty for Genge obstructing.

That would have given us the bonus point and probably secured the win

Re: Genge in the Telegraph

U19 squad, 50% private/independent school. In English education, 7% taught outside what was the state school system (sport even worse with academy chains). The problem with that statistic is it's not unheard of for the good guys from what would typically be a state background to get sponsorship/sch...

Re: Tigers v Saints

We’re now stuck between a rock and a hard place. It’s obvious the coaching team aren’t up to task. But can we afford to change the coaches again, it’s turning into a circus with no end in sight. Well played Saints. Very well coached team who looked to put width on the ball and attack the wide chann...

Cynical penalty within 7m of the try line but no yellow card

where's the consistency?

Re: The Six Nations 2019

Defense wins tournaments.

Wales, whilst looking good in attack, have been immense and not conceded many points

Re: Tigers v Wasps

And we should've won it when the ref bottled a penalty in front of the posts just before the end. that scrum was on elf the worst refereed in the history of the game. Their entire back row disengaged (as did one of the locks IIRC), walked around and tackled our 8 whilst the ball was in the scrum. T...

Only Cole released out of our players
Good for us, poor for England IMO. Wales will target Sinckler now with immediate niggle. Expect lots of flamboyant responses to tackles as well.
and Rob Evans is the master of niggle
