Shillcock is a pretty good player, but he isn't good enough to be a starter in a side looking to challenge for the biggest honours, the 22 shirt is his best position.

Radio silence on George Martin still. Given his prolonged absence I reckon we won't see him again this season, sadly. The "hint" on RL was he was very close for the Saints game...think at present he had played for England more than Tigers this season. Certainly shouldn't be going on tour ...

It was Redfern, Tressler, Richardson, Faulkes-Arnold & Smith.mightymouse wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 5:08 pm The anonymous front 5 were Cowling, Wheeler, Redfern, Joyce and probably Collington

What makes it worse in watching an easy on the eye Saints team, their coach is a Tiger. The obsession with Tigers DNA is not helpful or true, the Tigers I started watching won games by skill & speed, assisted by a quality back row, our front 5 were anonymous. Rowntree, Cockerell, Garforth, a ch...

Costelow only has 12 Welsh caps so unless he is going to stop his international career he won't be coming back anytime soon unless the WRU throw the towel in with the cap ruling.
Would like to know how hard we tried to persuade him to stay at Tigers.

Has it ever been established who wanted/appointed Dickens, the club or McKellar? I wonder where we would be if SB hadn't left, the evidence of the first half of last season suggested not much better than where we are now. How much preseason with "all" the players does a HC actually get? A ...

One tactic might be to not keep giving the ball to saints.

For me the result depends on if we can get at least 2 of Martin, Chessum & Reffell on the field, all 3 would be a bonus.
We also have to factor in our shocking performances this season after gaps between games.

Just spit balling but if Jordie Barrett has signed for Leinster that probably spells the end for Charlie Ngatai, he is 33 so he may well hang up his boots but he could be a good shorter term punt to fill one of those center shirts Ngatai is an excellent player, but frequently injured, think he alsk...

If nothing else this is the right way of announcing departures rather than some of the previous nonsense, all we need now is more clarity on injuries (amongst other things) & the mushroom farm might need to close. I hope Porter is leaving to play rugby elsewhere. I would take a punt on Manz Snr ...

Some of it was not making it clear what the boundaries of Cocker's & Mauger's responsibilities were, meant the board ended up sacking both as the players had split as well, then we had the world search for the best coach...

Re: Black Lions fixture
The we will sort it out @ Oval Park & Manu will be fit next week became rather boring in the end. When he became the genuine top of the coaching tree he couldn't/wouldn’t see past the next game. The above doesn't or shouldn't cloud his achievements as a player & coach, much like we should al...

The Scarlets found them competitive that's for certain.Darc Tiger wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 11:45 am I hope we take this relatively seriously. No need to risk the key players, or anyone with a high workload, but a game vs a roughly 2nd choice side would be really competitive.

Umanga, Nonu started on the wing, Julian Savea is playing 12 these days, Bryce Heem is playing inside as well, only ever seen as a 14 when up here. Think David Havalli played wing early in in his career... The one thing that links them all along with Jordie Barrett (who can play 10-15 & maybe ha...
