Re: Tigers vs Wasps - 04th June 2022 KO 15:00

Not sure if I’m imagining this, but my impression is that Nemzy had slimmed down somewhat at the start of the season, but on returning from his mid season (injury?) break had bulked up again. Like many other big running backs (Manu a case in point) I thought he was a better all round player when ca...

Re: England Squad for down under

For me at present Smith is overrated by certain sections of the media & fans, think Cipriani of years past, plenty of potential but without a more "liberated" England HC he won't be able to play to his strengths. At present, however much it pains to say it, Farrell fits EJs natural sty...

If Lancaster runs training, what does the Head Coach do? :smt017
Deano style role?

Whatever he does Lancaster appears to be a much valued member of the set up.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

Building any game plan that relies upon Manu being fit & available is of course a risky one, personally I would have that as Plan B.

If Kelly keeps progressing he is in a good place to play Internationally, it might help him long term if EJ doesn't pick him.

Re: Premier league final day.

Depends if people want owners with rather debatable (at best) back stories......see Football for plenty of examples. If Tigers can't get the books to balance off the back of 20,000 crowds the game isn't exactly financially stable, however much we love the game, compared to football & "Ameri...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

In many ways Tigers in the 22/23 season is much more a reflection of where we are as a team & Borthwick is as a Head Coach, to me the "easy" things have been sorted. At present Borthwick just wouldn't work off field for the RFU, for me the secret squirrel stuff at Tigers is annoying, n...

Wasps scrum was destroyed by Sale and it won't be any better now that Stooke is out. They are a dangerous team, but it's hard to win games when your set piece is a disaster.
Yet they beat us at at Ricoh, with a weaker team than they will probably have in a fortnight.

Re: Congratulations Tommy Reffell

7 is not exactly a weak position for Wales they have more than they know what to do with. You would be surprised if Pivac lasts beyond the RWC (note to England if they want Shaun Edwards), the number of regions might drop, the eligibility rules might change.. it's a really difficult choice for Tommy...

Re: Rassie's job is no more

Need to get the Physios off the pitch as well unless they are actually treating someone, far too many of them (including ours) are encroaching onto the field of play. The whole game needs speeding up, you used to be out of WR by 1640 at the latest for a 1500hrs k.o., less time taken for players to g...

That's what I thought. He was on the pitch at the Stoop afterwards. Mauger wasn't, I don't think.
Pretty sure it was known Mauger was doomed & the camera cut to him in the stand or a box.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

Rob evans will be a decent addition for someone Very rarely fit these days unfortunately, he has better handling skills than many backs. A fit Rob Evans would be a very astute signing for most teams. It is a bit odd we haven't posted the leavers yet unless there are still some negotiations outstand...
