And you are welcome to your IMHO - although I’m not sure why that entitles you to call me glib, but there you go. They are not calling you glib, they are calling your generalisation glib, and they have a point. McKellar will be responsible for the results if they are ultimately not good enough, the...

In terms of leavers I split them up into category Starting XV Wiese Scott Match day 23 Porter Van Wyk Dolly Squad Richardson Wilkinson Cokanasiga Academy Meredith Koroyardi Edwards In terms of leavers and replacements I so far see it as Dolly - FTT/Vanes (Feel these two have the similar ceiling in ...

To be fair, you could have said that about Exeter's (as an example) from last to this and they have had a barnstorming year because they have had continuity of coaching, play the same way throughout their setup etc etc. I hope you're right! Next season we won't lose 11 internationals for the first ...

Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Premiership - Friday 10th May 2024 - KO: 7:45pm
McKeller cannot win…..lose and he gets stick…..send a weakened / experimental team and lose there will be huge disappointment with the fans. Sale are in contention for a top 4 so for the integrity of the competition, Tigers should put out the strongest available side to try to win it……not experimen...

Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Premiership - Friday 10th May 2024 - KO: 7:45pm
Two massive points One, he seems to have lost the dressing room, and the result tonight will go a long way to decide that factor Secondly, its blooming obvious the majority the players are not nearly fit enough. Youngs is a prime example. Shocking for Professional Athletes, but its the Head Coach w...

Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Premiership - Friday 10th May 2024 - KO: 7:45pm
I don't see any reason to even begin to suspect he's "lost the dressing room". The players look 100% committed, and I'm sure the dressing room will be signposted anyway. McKellar did recently say that they have got the "preparation" wrong this season. There have also been sugges...

Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Premiership - Friday 10th May 2024 - KO: 7:45pm
I know a few players personally - it is total rubbish to say he has lost the dressing room - they couldn't be more behind him. FACT I am with Bunchy on this. I had a conversation with an agent of several of our players yesterday, who did advise he still has the faith of the players. I also had a ch...

Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Premiership - Friday 10th May 2024 - KO: 7:45pm
I guess they might not want Woodward to make his potential debut against Manu? I get your point but he'll have probably have spent most of his year tackling Kata in training, plus he went well last week against some pretty physical centres. The lesson I took from last week was we have probably got ...

Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Premiership - Friday 10th May 2024 - KO: 7:45pm
To be honest, it does feel a bit of a missed opportunity. Woodward is going to be in the Senior Squad next season anyway, so would make sense to have him on the bench over Phil C. FTT over Dolly makes more sense, especially as they are similar players and Whitcombe should be starting over Van Wyk. Y...

That is why A) i said have no issues with keeping plenty of headroom back for re-signings and B) i said originally that we may already have some more re-signings to announce.

Re: New Supporters Forum?
As someone who as at the Access All Areas event with McKellar and Wilkes, they were specifically asked to confirm that we will be spending up to the cap. It was quickly confirmed as yes we will be. However I am dubious given the signings announced and who is leaving, unless we have a raft of re-sig...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
No idea if this is practical or possible, but with Jonathan Davies leaving Scarlets, I'd be tempted to have a look at him for us. We need a centre, especially at 13. Could be a pretty good option to bring in as back up to Perese and help bring young Charlie Myall on. We have lost several of our &quo...

Some interesting comments from Mckellar today regarding our S & C and overall fitness. The rumour that I have heard on very good authority, is that we're binning off the Head of S & C, who we brought in last Summer to replace Aled. So wouldn't be surprised if there is an announcement soon.

Re: Black Lions match
On Monday night, the panel made the point that one of the biggest challenges they face is to bridge the gap between Under 18's and First Team senior rugby, with the gap being so massive. This is something also made tougher without any A League like we all remember. To bridge this gap they want the y...
