Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2
Makes me chuckle when folk compare BY England form to his Leicester form and always blame the clubs forwards. At international level most of BY ball is provided by players from one club, yes you know that one! Isn't that the point? Behind our forwards he doesn't flourish, behing theirs he does? I d...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2
And now they’re in negotiations to re-sign him, get rid of him now! The sooner, the better. Amazing how this style of post never actually manages to answer why he's part of the problem - or at least not address the counter argument that our playing style up front/potentially quality of players in t...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2
I would have thought its being hurting us for many Seasons. I'm still astounded people can hold this view. Look at our most successful periods - the team was absolutely stacked full of internationals. Looking at the dominant side in English and European rugby - they're stacked with internationals. ...

Re: Non-England World cup thread 2019
Odd how people interpret these differently - I perhaps wouldn't have penalised either given it seems like Biggar was falling in to Hooper who was stationary - or atleast barely moving forward in to the contact

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million
It is quite simple for me and I don't know the answer - if we did sell the club for 60m, what exactly are they buying? The real estate? The shares from various board members? How much of the money goes into the club kitty? What does the"new" board intend to spend the money on if there is money in t...

Re: Guinness threat to London Irish
"...............choose to withdraw sponsorship. That is their right." Of course it is their right, but this is symptomatic of modern society; all that is needed nowadays to ruin someone's reputation is a media indictment. Being tested in a court of law no longer means anything. You have said it you...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD
There are loads of factors but I think that Youngs is a big part of the problem himself, my issue is that he supposed to be an experienced 85 cap England international and is a supposed senior player but doesn’t act like it all anymore, you don’t need quick ball to be a leader. To be clear this is ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD
Interesting that people don't seem keen to get the best out of England's most capped 9 - but rather simply replace him with an import in the hope it would fix everything. Arguably some might say the unsuccessful mindset has lead to an overly negative view - it's quite obvious given how he plays for ...

Re: Anyone else uneasy?
Cannot see any problem with this award. It recognises a fan that has made a great contribution to rugby be it raising funds for Matt Hampson or other causes. It does not imply that they are any better fan than the rest and just recognising their contribution. This has been happening for years. Nomi...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 5
It is to the ordinary man in the street, matey. :smt024 :smt024 So your way of ensuring we win more is to not pau our star players more because being a professional Rugby player pays more than the average job in the street? The bloke is by far our best player in the 2018/19 season and Premiership t...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 5
It's an interesting mindset that suggests we ought to let go our best players who are established international performers for a series of flimsy reasons which quite clearly hold no water rather than improve our support around them to make the most of their ability. Just what do people expect happen...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 5
Don't like the personality slagging of a player on a supporters forum. It's really cheap. I thought Tigers supporters were better. The player has no right of reply. It's an act of cowardice. Challenge what a player does on the field, whether they are effective in role. But not negative stories abou...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 5
This was raised at the supporters forum and smurf said that they were still negotiating with Manu but tigers could not compete with the French clubs Basically we're trying to get him on reduced terms, and rightfully so. NO marquee player should be from the current England contingent IMO. 20K per ma...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3
Based on the current squad being at/or very near the salary cap, any further additions would have to be at the expense of someone already within the squad. Leatigaga is going to have to replace one of our current prop contingent, assuming we’d want to keep Genge and Cole, probably Bateman too, plus...
