I have stuck up for Loffreda a lot on the forum but I will say that when Pat Howard left I would have at that time appointed from within and Back would have been the one i'd have looked to, his character, experience and years of service seemed to make him an excellent choice especially as he had a s...

Suggets that the decision was made before the Quins game and could quite likely have occured even if we had beaten Wasps.

Really good signing of the type we have been missing for several years. I have always seen him as a 10, if it wasn't for Johnny at Newcastle he would probably had little experience at 12. Still he is very useful cover there. As for replacing Goode I don't know yet, form as to come into it, but I fee...

This issue is splitting fans into pro and anti board camps now the people who were angry at ML's treatment (I included) have had their say. This issue has highlighted the growing divide over the nature of support for Rugby Teams. The club need the old gaurd as well as those who are more like the foo...

Leaks, rumours, smoke and mirrors. Describes the whole season really. All I know is if you check out all the braodsheet coverage of the ML saga over the last few days the club does not come across in a positive light. I find it difficult to beleive ML was so inept. Problems more likely came about th...

He'll be good if he comes but as with Lofredda it would take him time to settle in so success will not come overnight. The board would give him the time needed as they are in last chance saloon as far as hiring and firing top international coaches goes. They couldn't get away with it again, just loo...

We are not Chelsea. There is no rich Russian to buy success but a salary cap, it is far harder to dominate. Success is important but many fans go for other reasons too, and the attitudes of a good many supporters were moulded in the amatuer era. There is no market for another football, the sort of p...

To reply to KevF. Of course other coaches are queing up to take an interest their is a vacation. What calibre are they? The one we got rid of was 3 in the world cup. Jake White would top him. In no way does this show that our reputation has not been harmed. Man City have just got a new coach! If you...

Time to come clean and explain the reasons in more detail.

This is not a happy club at the moment and more explaination than has been given already is needed to justify such a controversial decision.

The last thing we need is promotion from within, we need some new blood. Jake White would be a good choice and would have my full support. Unfortunately that is not the case with the board. I have always been proud of my club from top to bottom. I will never feel the same way again after the shabby ...

Other forums

If you feel angry about todays events you could voice them on wider rugby forums. Spin is a key battle ground for any sports club these days and your voice elsewhere could be more effective than internal comments here.

Does anyone on the board read the forum?

I've checked general RU forums and comments often show a support from fans for the action of the board. This clearly does not reflect the comments here. I suggest that the board may be looking to portray their actions to the wider rugby public as a response widely supported by fans demanding the hea...

When Loffreda was brought in it was publisised that here was a man who would understand the amateur ethos still present in our club, it's traditions, pride and links with the community. Today that all seems a farce. This is the most undignified and quite frankly ridiculous sacking of a rugby coach i...

Protests will not bring him back, but the board should be made aware of the feelings of the majority of fans regarding this decision. Look at other threads there is not a lot of support for the clubs decision. I have never seen so many replies to a topic in such a short space of time. Protest then m...
