Re: Poor Ref today

g wrote He was not good today but he wasn't the cause of Tigers losing. Whilst I think you have a fair point g about tigers performance had the referee applied the rules correctly (vis a vis my previous post) then a penalty try sould have been awarded and that, my friend, would have made the final s...

Re: Poor Ref today

No doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong but aren't there 3 referees on the pitch? You really have to ask what is the point of the AR's? I think that we should have been awarded a penalty try for the deliberate batting of the ball by the Glous fullback because Goneva would probably caught the b...

Re: Manu

First off I'd like to say that Manu deserved a straight red. His reaction to a relatively gentle shove was unpardonable. I don't think the initial tackle was high (i.e. above the shoulders) and as Manu was on the 'blindside' of Ashton probably thought that he had the ball and attempted the tackle. B...

Re: Quin's vs Tiger's - Todays game!!!

Tough win for us today. Can't remember any of the backs touching the ball in the first half. Didn't think anyone (Tigers) from 9 to 15 had a good day at the office today but pleased to see no one injured. We're going to step it up a few notches next week that's for sure. Easter deserved his MOTM; Ma...

Toulon Crowd

Did anybody else watch the Toulon/Munster game at the weekend? I thought the crowd were brill, some guy with a trumpet getting them going..fantastic. I think we should get some French supporters (how about you Ze Stade man and a few of your mates) to give us a few tips as we seem to have stalled in ...

Re: Alain Rolland

mol2 - I think you're mistaken about the 'blocking' penalty on AT. From what I saw (on TV) Alex ran straight into the opposing player as he did last weekend against Northampton. The opposing player does not have to move out of the way. That being so, how can "dipping the shoulder" constitu...

Re: Another good game for Anthony Allen!!

AA had a superb game as did Skivs. For my money, I think either of these edged out Ben for MOTM though. I can see us losing this pair to the England squad if they carry on like that.
Great win despite Mr. Rolland's officiating .

Re: Courtney Laws

Great shame for the lad, I hope he recovers soon. Big blow for Saints and England but based on last Saturdays performance we could loose both Deacs and Skivs (hope not).
Incidently, what news of Geof Parling?

Re: kids standing in the terrace..

Here's a thought..how about a young persons dedicated enclosure (the clubhouse stand perhaps)? The kids get a seat in a supervised area (security might be an issue but not insurmountable), they can see the game clearly and all those miserable sods who insist that they can't move just a few feet to t...

Couldn't call MOTM between Marcos and Skivs. Both outstanding (and the other 13 blokes).

Re: A word of praise.

Sorry YBH but are wrong. I too was at the game and the incident occured right in front of me. AT ran straight into Foden. Foden did not move and despite what you think you saw he did not turn his shoulder into Alex (and even if he had that is not obstruction). In any case, Foden was not obliged to s...

Re: A word of praise.

YBH - I'm afraid your call on the so called block on AT rather disqualies you on commenting on Mr Pearsons performance. There was no foul and Bill W is absolutely right. I though the ref did a very good job all things considered and I think most people would say that it was a great game to watch whi...
