Re: Season ticket price increase question

There's another way of looking at this. The club have been reported as capping players' salaries for 2 years. Might it not be a smart trick to cap season ticket and match day tickets for the same period? It would show ST's and occasional fans that the club values their attendance and might encourage...

Re: Gloucester vs Tigers

Very odd selection all round. Why is it. Front row and back row are the strongest available given injuries. Spencer hasn’t played for 3 weeks so may not be completely match fit. I understand the half backs are contentious, but White has been pushing Harrison this season, and Geordan must have his r...

Re: Autumn Internationals

Have to agree sadly Lawes was offside when the AB player stepped forward and the SH had not lifted the ball. That made him off side under the current interpretation but I have to also say this interpretation of when a ball is in or out is ridiculous. For me as an ex SH when you put your hands on th...

Any update on Denton?
Last I heard (Tuesday or Wednesday just gone) he was still going through the return to play protocols following a head knock. Can't remember where I read or heard it though. Senility catching up with me.

Re: Gloucester vs Tigers

On paper, that looks a reasonable side. Unfortunately matches are not played on paper :smt003 6. Williams 7. Thompson 8. Kalamafoni Apologies for not keeping up RB but is Kalamafoni back with us from the AI's? What about BOC's fitness? If he has recovered from injury maybe a bench slot for him thou...

Think the backline should be this:

9. Harrison 10. Hardwick 11. Thompstone 12. Worth 13. Owen 14. Veainu 15. Holmes

21. White 22. Eastmond 23. Olowfela
Has Veainu recovered from his ankle injury? If not I'd have the 9,10,11 you suggest plus Owen at 12, Worth 13, Olowofela 14 and Holmes 15.

Re: Premiership Rugby Cup - Tigers vs Worcester

Yes, I suspect he'll be cited and banned, probably rightly as he definitely threw at least a couple of punches at least one of which connected, we couldn't see how it was yellow not red. But I also suspect that Van Velze must have done something to instigate it. Will he though? There is no footage ...

Re: Premiership Rugby Cup - Tigers vs Worcester

Does anyone think that Joe Heyes will get suspended? Does anyone who was in the Mattoli Woods/Holland and Barrett stand know what caused said incident. Yes, I suspect he'll be cited and banned, probably rightly as he definitely threw at least a couple of punches at least one of which connected, we ...

Re: Where were you?

I was there on the terrace frustrated with the Tigers and the referee in equal measure. :smt013 :smt013 :smt013 This competition in whatever form has never really attracted big crowds in the group stages. If you are not a die hard supporter who makes an effort to get to as many games as possible are...

Re: Autumn Internationals

I thought George Ford should have come on much sooner. Around the 55/60 minute the game had really started to open up and there was space everywhere, Te'o was knackered too, it seemed like the perfect scenario for George to come on and turn the screw. As it was he came on in the 73rd to little effe...

Re: Autumn Internationals

Voice of the Crumbie, your assumption that Shields is no good does not fit as there are better players ahead of him that qualify for NZ. He qualifies for England and is seen to be the best of what is available. How many of the current England players would get into the All Blacks team? Tigerbeat, I...

Re: Toomua Call Up - Cake and Eat IT

I am pretty certain IRB rules do not permit contracts that prevent a player turning out for his country if selected. A well wrtten contract would not prevent a player playing for his country, but a player signed as an ex-international on marquee wages should expect a reduction in that wage pro-rata...

Re: Autumn Internationals

Hopefully he proves me wrong but I still don't see what Brad Shields offers that couldn't be covered by any number of actual Englishmen. Not a great sign that he played 100+ games for the 'canes yet the ABs weren't interested. It’s a very fair point. New Zealand do tend to like an out and out 7 and...

Just flashed up on sky sports Ashton replacing Manu on the bench.

They’ve only had a week and broken him
I don't have Sky does it give details of the nature of the injury?
