Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE V: Borthwick Strikes Back

Any knowledge why McGinity got the farewell? "The decision has been taken now, with recruitment finalised for 2020/21, to allow the new team led by head coach Steve Borthwick to have the best possible opportunities, time and resource in looking ahead to strengthening the squad for the future." Rumo...

Perhaps, when crowds are allowed back, we can help the referee by giving a very loud count-down to encourage the laggards.
Maybe the scoreboard can help us by putting up a countdown clock :smt003

Re: Gallagher Premiership Round 6

Although Sinckler probably was rightly peed off for Cowan-Dickie's "tackle", swearing at the ref in frustration is not the way to go about it. Had it not been a former teammate Dickson refereeing I suspect Sinckler might have been red carded. Which is one of the reasons why Dickson shouldn't be ref...

Re: Sam Simmonds?!

I have felt for a while that Billy Vunipola has reached his peak and is now not as effective game after game as he used to be. So the time is ripe for a long term replacement to be developed. I'm not convinced by Nathan Hughes. Like his former team mate James Haskell he's great when he's on song but...

Never heard of him. Who is he? Plays Luther in the Umbrella Academy on Netflix, had a role in Game of Thrones before that Also played Sir Percival in Merlin on BBC a few years ago. Thanks for the information guys. Still none the wiser. I only know 3 Luthers - Vandross, the detective played by Idris...

Re: Premiership rejects BT TV offer

I'll adapt to most presenters. However there is one up with whom I will not put.

Yes, you've got it - Lawrence (master of stating the ********* obvious) Dallaglio. I find it better to watch with the commentary turned down when he's on.

Re: Tigers vs Brive

Let's hope it's not a repeat fixture of the last time we played Brive, this was way before my time but weren't we massive favourites going into the '97 final? It was dire. We turned up for a training run and Brive turned up to win. From where I was it seemed we couldn't shake off the lethargy. We w...

Re: Open Letter To The Board

Valid points well expressed, Tiglon. When I read the announcement re Jan McGinity to say I was shocked is an understatement. If this is part of a necessary cost reduction in response to Covid 19 then I can regrettably accept that but why can't the club just say so. If this is the symptom of some dee...

Re: Autumn Nations Cup

Complacency, or the fact that Wales has a population of 3 million compared to England's 56 million? That they can compete at the same level at all is frankly an astonishing achievement. I personally think that comparison is very flawed, especially considering that since rugby union is the national ...
