Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

The rugby paper wasn't linking Tigers to Castro. Basically. Tigers are looking for a scrum coach and could do no worst than looking close to home in Castrogiovanni. That was pretty much it. Did I miss something RB? Is Boris going? It's ok RB. ignore this. I've just seen the relevant thread.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

Given the lack of experience we will have in the halfbacks when Youngs and Ford are with England I would honestly leap at Wigglesworth signing for a season as a player/coach. We've lost Mele who was our scrum-half coach and Wigglesworth would give us an experienced head to rotate with White and hel...

Re: Fijian squad announced

For me another experienced full back is needed. One who can cover wing as well. At full back Steward is nailed on for me but with Murimurivalu away who would we have if Steward was not available? I'm not convinced by George Worth (a shame because at one time it seemed he might develop into a premier...

Re: DoR?

Our club has had all its past successes with a Director of Rugby and a Head Coach, under Deano we had a non coaching D.O.R whilst Pat Howard and Cocker held the position whilst being active coaches. Geordan was an assistant coach under Cocker, Aaron Mauger and Matt O'Connor, in his role as assistan...

Re: Tigers vs Quins - 04 Oct 20 15:00

Nadolo topping the round stats with 164 meters 8 defenders beaten George Ford also topping the round with turnovers won. I wouldn't normally question the veracity of your information RB but George Ford winning the most turnovers seems a strange one to me :smt017 He's done it a few times before, its...

Re: Predictions 20-21

If injuries, events outside and steady team picks allow, I suspect about 5-7 games will be needed to let the potential of this team be realised. Consequently, I'd suggest about 8th but - with the previously mentioned fair wind - 5/6th, with a couple of surprise scalps later on. I'd settle for that ...

Re: Manu Tuilagi

Realistically, he hasn't been fit for 6 years. Great shame for Manu. I have no ill feelings towards him. He did what he thought is best for him when he moved to Sale as all of us, I'm sure, would have done in a similar situation. However I am pleased Tigers aren't carrying the cost of his latest in...

Re: Tigers vs Bristol

I do wish people would stop raking up the last 7, 5, 4 or however many years. They have happened and are gone. Time to be realistic. We have had just 90 odd days of the current regime - a large part of which in both coaching and playing terms is new and there are still players to come in. We are ope...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

https://www.rugbypass.com/news/player-contracts-expiring-in-2021/ Interesting article on RugbyPass regarding players out of contract in 2021, obviously many will resign with there current club, like most of the Irish players or they're way past their prime. However wonder if Tigers are looking at a...

Re: Freddie Steward

Rugby (Union) is and should remain a sport that can be played and won in different ways. “Attacking” play does not necessarily make for an attractive game. If you don’t like mauling, scrummaging or goal kicks then there are other sports that might appeal to you more It's not goal kicks that I disli...

Re: European competitions

So Racing won at Clermont, despite conceding four tries and only scoring two themselves. I didn’t see the game but it seems to me that Clermont’s discipline was punished as Racing kicked eight penalties. A Racing v Sarries semifinal next weekend is mouthwatering! Allez Racing!! :smt041 :smt041 :smt...
