Sean Wainui's Haka

For those of us who love watching the Haka from whichever team performs it, This must be one of the best. A fitting tribute to Sean who was killed in a car crash in 2021.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

He has already commented according to BBC and said that his fellow countrymen have assured him it is a good place to come both on and off the field.

Re: Premiership Final v Saracens - 18th June 2022 KO 15:00

Well done to all concerned - they got just about everything right. Credit to Burns for keeping cool and slotting the DG but also as an ex-SH in my later years, I feel great credit to Ben for the setup. He bought Freddie an extra split second by the slightest dummy pass from the ruck. That made the d...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

I was watching carefully Moroni's face yesterday and he didn't look like he felt he had a future with us. Just my opinion and I have no basis other than my gut feeling that he now will be going. I really hope that I am wrong and it was just his "game face" as I do want him to stay if we ca...

Re: Premiership Final v Saracens - 18th June 2022 KO 15:00

Can't say I am surprised that Nadolo has been left out - recently he certainly has not looked the same player as at the start of the season. Surprised that JVP has been left out but can understand the need for experience but my biggest surprise is the 2nd row -I would have started with Wells over Gr...

Re: Semi final v Saints - 11th June 2022 KO 4-30pm

Dog walked, breakfast eaten, a bit of shopping to do and I am already BUZZING!!!! Just counted that there are only 1400+ tickets left for sale. Let us hope that they have got the catering sorted out and the tills/computers are all working at the start and enough beer in the hand-pulled units. Don't ...

The whole rugby family will be so saddened to hear the news. A lady who supported her husband in everything he did both on and off the field. Condolences to the whole family.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

I've just read that the number of players without contracts in the league has now gone over 100! A lot of these will be trying to get a contract in the championship which will then bump out players from there. There will also be some, don't know how many, who return to their home country or retire....

Re: Semi final v Saints - 11th June 2022 KO 4-30pm

I will be so disappointed if Porter is not in the 23 somewhere - the guy's work rate is enormous as was Potter and Steward. Those are our 3 chasers of kicks and let's face it - we are a kicking team. Without chasers, it doesn't work! Do you start with the match fit player and bring on the returnee -...

Re: Tigers vs Wasps - 04th June 2022 KO 15:00

A win is a win but the performance is what SB is preaching and whilst there were some very good performances one or two players have disappointed me recently. Even though he is such an attacking threat, Nemani hasn't been the Nemani we had at the start of the season and Benny reverted to the slow de...

Re: Tigers vs Wasps - 04th June 2022 KO 15:00

I know that there are many ways to skin a cat but for me, we must go in as strong as we can in the 23. How we juggle the bench is not as important to me as who is on it. I want to see our best 23 for this game as I do not want to play Quins if possible. Let Sarries and Quin fight it out on the plast...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) 21st May 2022 KO 15:00

If we don’t get Quins in the semi, Sarries probably will, and I’d say that’ll be the hardest test for Sarries to pass. Suits me. If they come back from the championship and win at the final, the media love-in will be intolerable!! My thinking exactly, I am less concerned about us facing Saints or G...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) 21st May 2022 KO 15:00

I do not want to face Quins in the semi so full bore for the next game is the right way to go. After that, we will have a better idea of what the table will look like at the end of the season. Sarries play both Saints and Glaws in their last 2 games so some points will be lost somewhere between the ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Aled Walters and the Philosopher's Stone

I must say I am most intrigued by the Simmons extension. If he is coming in at scrum-half then he would most likely be fourth choice behind the obvious three other candidates. I also don’t see him challenging for a first choice winger spot as the current crop, plus porter who can do a handy job the...
