Re: Team vs Saints

Last week I said I was really excited by Nadolo's signing but really disappointed by his chase of our kicks - HOW WAS I SO WRONG????? - really impressed by the whole team - keep it up now in the 2nd half

Re: Team vs Saints

is Hardwick injured? McPhillips over him is an odd choice given the latter hasn't impressed much, yet again 3 second rows start, I really dislike this trend, especially as we have left Taufua on the bench to do it. What exactly is the injury to Ford? Also wondering when we will see Mamukusvilli mak...

Re: Team vs Saints

I, too believe Genge will go - has he this year lived up to his "Rhino" name - no. Has looked disillusioned at times and unless my poor eyes deceive me - he looks lighter than previous years. He would still be my 1st choice but I do want to see the old Gengie - destroying the opposite prop and makin...

Re: Midweek Game - Wed 09 Sep Away to Wasps

said it before and will say it again and again (as the song goes) team selection should not be GM's remit - Steve has to be the boss and pick the team which can put into operation what he is training them for.

Re: A new defence coach?

From my POV, the error was asking Mike to be an attack coach when clearly his strengths are in defence. I don't accept that shipping 54 pts by our youngsters against a nearly full strength in form Wasps = a poor defence coach. If in 2/3 months time our 1st XV do the same, then I will certainly begin...

Re: Midweek Game - Wed 09 Sep Away to Wasps

The result reflected the difference between the 2 selected sides. Positives for me are that Worth and Porter were solid, Henry is an excellent backup SO and they never gave up trying in spite of losing much of their shape in the 2nd half. Negatives - Line out was very poor (Launchbury got away with ...

Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20

Don't think Ford had a shocker - not good but certainly not a shocker. I was singing the praises of Nadolo before he came and at this moment in time, I was wrong - slow, hardly chased a thing, and looks totally out of shape. Not impressed

I would love to see us go for Virimi Vakatawa next year - out of contract next year and sounds as though he want to play in the premiership but of course, money may be an issue.

Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20

Agree with the principle of strong team against Sale/Saints in prep for the Castres games. My strong team would be something like Strongest Squad 15. Steward 14. Nadolo 13. Porter/Taute 12. Scott 11. Potter 10. Ford 9. Youngs 1. Genge 2. Youngs 3. Cole 4. Wells 5. Green 6. Liebenberg 7. Reffell 8. ...
