Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Aled Walters and the Philosopher's Stone
We have some excellent backs and a fine fullback but I think we should go after Arundel at London Irish with every means possible. Such a great talent will not stay at LI and to let a talent like that slip through our fingers and end up at Wasps or Saracens would be a disaster. Get him here at all c...

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Saturday 07th May 2022 - 5-30pm KO
Are you being serious , calling it a poor effort from the club? Surely you are aware what we have been through the last couple of years with Covid lockdowns? Games played in empty stadia no entrance fees no food or drink income, etc etc? The club was running on empty but still paying the players eve...

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Saturday 07th May 2022 - 5-30pm KO
There was a large gap between the teams and it's not just the Province's much bigger budget and playing squad.
They were able to rest all their best players for two weeks leading up to the game.
Their coaching staff number 32!
There is an increasing distance between a province and a club.

Re: Bristol (Home) - 30th April 2022 KO 15:00
What a great treat this game was. Some fine contests with Bristol over the years which, (last season's match excepted), always seemed to be good ones. They were also the only other club to keep the letters along with Tigers. Reffell was my man of the match, he was a star among stars but what a shift...

Re: PRC Semi final vs London Irish (A) - 26th April 2022
That's true but what teenager is the complete package. He has much to learn and does not have the advantage of height, so beneficial to catching the high "bombs" but he oozes natural talent and is a delight to watch, even against us. I suspect he will become a very good centre if the way a...

Re: PRC Semi final vs London Irish (A) - 26th April 2022
Ben White was awesome and was clearly out to show that Tigers were wrong in letting him go. That the player preferred to him was the captain of Tigers was all the motivation he needed. Much has been written about the selection of both teams and the more experienced pack gave him a great ride. He was...

Re: Europe - Try of the Round
I didn't bother to watch the last game, involving the French clubs but looked at the highlights today.
If you haven't bothered either, have a look at T Vianu's try for Stade. Just as he did for us so many times.
Brilliant.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 1901 - Black and White
As well as a great look back over a century and more of Tigers and rugby in general, it is also a great social document. Imagine a coach or official coming on to the pitch wearing a top hat now!! Looking at the crowd, it is difficult to see a man or boy without a hat. I certainly saw no women there....

Re: The decline and fall of Munster
Not a great Faux Pas but it basically glosses over the uneven advantages of a province competing against clubs in what is a competition for Clubs. We try, here in England to create a level playing field by a salary cap which prevents a few clubs "buying" the competition. The result is that...

Re: The decline and fall of Munster
I am pleased for Graham Rowntree to get the job at Munster but his comment about being appointed to a "club of this calibre" doesn't bode well. Doesn't he know that Munster are a Province, the sum of many clubs and the recipients of great amounts of money from the IRFU?. They have never be...

Re: Clermont (Away) - Sunday 10th April 2022
I thought the tackle on Freddie was dismissed a bit too easily, without any replays or input from the TMO. At the time, I thought there were no arms involved but I have yet to see it. Sir was mostly good but as many have said, he also made some strange calls. The red card could and should have been ...

Re: BT INNOVATION
Get the BT commentary team to stop all Mention of the Saracens achievements. They were gained through cheating on an industrial scale and should be wiped from all records. When you are able to field two international teams for a club with 6,000 supporters common sense must tell you all is not as it ...

We didn't play that well but we played like Tigers. Magnificent effort from all our chaps.
I love beating Baaaarth. The old enemy but a proper club, even if they are a rich man's hobby.
Saracens lost to London Irish too. Where's that bottle of McCallan's?
