Re: Tigers vs Bristol - 04th January 2020

A great game. Best I have attend for quite a while...I hope this means we have turned a corner. Not the usual big effort from a tiring scrum but a great attacking game from the backs as well. Plenty of open play from both sides with Bristol played their part too. The thought of our key players short...

Re: Nigel Wray Gawn

It will be a ploy to get round the sanctions for this year's excesses.
lower than a snake's belly.
He should have been banned from all association with the sport, his club relegated to London North Div 2
The man is a cheat, pure and simple.

Re: Paul Gustard

Not too impressed with "Sir". The trouble is, any criticism is taken as bad manners and unworthy of them. (Like doctors) They are only human and frequently make mistakes and miss things. They also have their favourites. I still can't be doing with a feed to the back of second row's feet resulting in...

Re: Prem Shield - Tigers vs Wanderers

It sounded like a decent game yet only 500 spectators attended. I find that disappointing even if it is two days before Christmas. Our development games a few years ago were getting 9k or more. To loose by two points against a team with more first team players is not a bad deal. I believe Joe Batley...

Re: TV coverage affects results

That's true Jimmy. Likewise, the try that was given despite Genge's hand underneath. It clearly showed that. Although Austin commented that the ball may have slipped off, you never get to see that. A frame by frame replay does not show it. As for a referee living near one of the teams he is officiat...

Re: Joe Batley signed on loan today

I have known Joe and his family since he was playing mini-youth at Gosport and Fareham RFC. Frankly I am delighted he is getting a go at Tigers. He needs a chance to prove himself at the top level and I hope he will do so at Tigers. He has the physical attributes to be a great second row. Being laid...

Re: The Premiership is Boring, how to improve it

Scrums are pointless if the ball is fed at 45 degrees. When did you last see a strike against the head? If they continue to ignore the law on feeding we may as well restart by stepping over as they do in Rugby League.

Re: New Saracens salary cap investigation

Mark 62 wrote Did anyone else see the tweet saying that all the other premiership owners have advised Nigel Wray that he won’t be welcome at the other clubs I would normally think such action was petulant but not in this case. He robbed all the other clubs, players, supporters over three years and s...

I thought the replacement of Lavanini and Genge would cost us the game. The next scrum looked like it and yet...……….

It gives me great pleasure to eat my words. Well done Tigers. Not pretty but some awsome shifts tonight by our boys.

They have really made my weekend.

Re: London Irish vs Tigers

Our returning internationals, (despite the odd bruise) should still be mega fit. Genge hasn't played for two or three weeks. What the hell is going on? Any fool would know that Irish have recruited well and are no longer a push over. Fielding such a weak side against them was asking for trouble. I w...

Re: BT reckons Relegation...

"Same old Tigers, always cheating" used to be the cry from the shed and there is no doubt we were canny in so far as the laws allowed. But unlike today, I don't remember refs like Norling warning before offences in those days. I continue to be annoyed at the total disregard of the crooked feed which...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

The revue/appeal won't be the end of it. Newcastle, Bristol and Irish were relegated during the years in question and I understand are poised to issue their own litigation. They lost millions in consequence and at least Newcastle can claim that their home and away defeats to Saracens contributed gre...
