Re: Team vs Saints

I enjoyed the game. All the comments by the commentators and pundits that Stains played poorly was very disrespectful to us. On paper it was a good team and you can but play what's put in front of you. It will take time to gel into the team we want to see but I was encouraged by our performance and ...

Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20

Looking at the large contingent of SA players they are fielding they look as if they
are emulating "Saffercens". By the quality of their squad and the fact they can afford to pay Manu
I have to wonder is that the only leaf they have taken from their book?

Re: Reversing the great schism. Is it an option now?

I reiterate that in raising this as a topic of dicussion, I am not proposing this myself but it is a question I have been asked by non rugby people. We all have our history, likes and dislikes but are we therefor unable to see the wood for the trees? The bleedin' obvious? It is the sort of question ...

Reversing the great schism. Is it an option now?

Following the covid 19 lockdown and the problems our professional clubs now face as a result, I have been reading about the urgent difficulties the RL code are facing which are even worse than ours. So for the sake of discussion, is it time to consider re-joining with them, in a game that could suit...

Re: Referees

The thing that really bugs me is the now constant ignoring of the crooked feed. Especially when immediately after it, the other side is pinged for another offense. The first offense being ignored. If they don't sort this problem out the scrum is a waste of time and we may as well step over it as in ...

Re: Gloucester vs. Tigers - Sun 30 Aug 20 (1630)

Austin is a long time favourite of mine and many more. I also think he would make a decent backs coach but snug in the commentary box or at his PC, he is increasingly getting it wrong. Not everything in his Telegraph article is wrong or without merit but he fails to see the picture from a Tigers poi...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

I am surprised that Spencer is going and especially Joe Batley. The games he player were impressive and 6!6" as a youngster and 19 stone is ripe to be moulded into a really good lock. I hope Bristol give him a good crack of the whip.

Re: J. MAY ESQ.

I too am very unhappy with Jonny leaving but the elephant in the room is the months our best players are away playing for England during the season. Its :censored: ridiculous and has to change or the club game will fold spectacularly. Look what happened to county cricket with central contracts. Hamp...

Benny on BT RUGBY TONIGHT

I had not seen this "RUGBY TONGHT" interview when it was broadcast and only found it , scratching through the listings. Sitting in front of a host of shirts, (they were changed for each part of the interview) he talked about joining Tigers after Waterloo, the early days at Welford road. The great ye...

Re: Six Nations to go to Sky

We don't need the AIs for a start, I only want to see the ABs on tour every few years. Familiarity breeds contempt but my solution would be to start the prem season at the start of August, We could play right through and finish end of March early April. Play 6Ns in April/May. The players then get Ju...

Re: Tigers vs Worcester

I was surprised to see Lavanini subbed for Joe Batley but the subs were good and well worth their salt. It takes some
bottle to put a lad on for an international with a small lead and only minutes to go so full mark to the coaches for doing so.

Re: Six Nations to go to Sky

There have been some fabulous cricket from the SA tour, non better than the T20 final. The vast majority know nothing about it. The BBC didn't include the result in their bulletins. OK SKY money to the game but how many future supporters will it bring? Oil money has ruined wendyball and cricket. We ...
