Re: Ben Youngs

Well deserved Ben. I wish some people would realise that the SH role at international and club level is set by the coaches. Kicking possession away will often be his second option but it's do as we say or sit on the bench more often than not This lad has earned his place in England and Tigers history.

Re: Sarries being investigated

Whatever, they, and others, got away with it. Conor O'Shea knew what the others were doing, and legged it.
Which is why I don't buy the smoke screen being created by Saffacens. Or why I am equally pessimistic about the will and ability to investigate the scam fully.

Re: ARE THERE ANY LAWS IN THE GAME THAT YOU WOULD CHANGE?

Above all I would like , proper enforcement of the feeding law. 45 degree feeds to the second row negates any chance of the opposition getting the ball "against the head" and renders the scrum a waste of time. We might as well step over the pill as in RL.

Re: Newcastle win again

The injury list is appalling and 20 good players out can not be dismissed like that as
Just the injury to TV has been catastrophic. A player who many consider to be the best in the country
Denton just starting to fire for us...……………… I could go on.

Re: Sarries being investigated

Ourla wrote:- I think people are making a bigger deal out of it than it is in reality. That was an opinion, (albeit phrased differently), often expressed by some commentators in the 1930s. It is called appeasement. The rules were set and agreed by all parties. It is nonsense to suggest that some may...

Re: Sarries being investigated

If you are right, and I am not saying you are, it is an even greater reason to apply severe sanctions . As Mightymouse so rightly observes, it is unsustainable in the mid to long term as even the most dedicated fans won't put up with it indefinitely.

Re: Sarries being investigated

My view is that it will be swept under the carpet UNLESS! we the paying public who support the premiership with our hard earned money keep the pressure on. Send letters, emails, petitions, and comments in all the time until something is done. Don't let the topic go off the boil. Show your feelings, ...

Re: Worcester vs Tigers

What a weekend for England and Leicester sport! :censored: depressing. On reflection, Tigers were no better or worse than I expected us to be, given the time of year. The problem as I see it is, the 6N period and the expectation that our second and third string can compete with a club who are not de...

Re: Proof if proof were needed

There is nothing in that which I and any other supporter has not seen The rules and procedures are no different to the Inland revenue or any other regulatory authority. We know it is supposed to be properly policed and the procedures laid down for overseeing them. Yet breaches occur all the time. Th...

Re: Proof if proof were needed

If it's not properly policed you get cheats like Sarries walking away with the title. If we scrap it, we will end up like "Wendyball" and only those clubs able to regularly spend squillions can compete. Those that can't, go under. Look what happened at Toulon. They came from nothing and bought in mos...

Re: Proof if proof were needed

But why was the salary cap brought in and who by? It was agreed by all the premiership clubs (plus London Irish) so that our game would not go the way of "Wendyball" and success being bought by the club who could spend the most. It has worked to a greater extent and most teams are now capable of bea...

Re: Sarries next week

I was disappointed at the result yesterday. It was certainly not a fair reflection of the game.We all know that AP is a dreadful place to go and that damn plastic pitch gave them two tries at least. (The bounce is NOT the same as on a proper grass field). However, we won the first half, despite an o...
