Re: Premiership Games - 28th to 30th October 2022

I watched the last quarter at my local rugby club but there was no sound so I admit I didn't hear the commentary.
but From what I saw, that was an appalling decision and LI were robbed.
Sir should cop it from the assessors , but you have to wonder if he will.

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022

According to a report I saw yesterday, Itoji is earning £800,000 a year!
Are they taking the pi**?
The sanctions against them were pathetic and weighed against their tiny support, these salaries are going to screw
the game well and truly.

Jack Willis to Tigers?

"Scrum" reporting this today. Any mention from within the club? They are saying that Tommy Reffell is bound to leave for a Welsh club at the end of the season.

Re: Would You Accept Mid Table Mediocrity with Financial Stability

I understand your argument but what's the point of playing competitive sport if you can't win anything? Most wendyball clubs know they can never compete with the top four lot who spend obscene billions buying success. They keep banging their heads against the wall but if they were honest, would admi...

Re: Tigers v Sale (H) - Saturday 08th October 2022 - 3-00pm

That looks a strong side on paper but Manu. on the day, could make it all turn sour. I detested the way he left, unwilling to take a pay cut etc. I wonder how he feels now that Warriors have gone under and Wasps are in trouble? I understand he still has a love for the club that did so much for him a...

Re: Worcester’s woes

The news today about the players and staff is awful but expected.
I would like to think they can/could all be inducted to the remaining clubs in the PFL.
We had Joe Batley here on loan and he did OK. I would certainly welcome him back.

By using the term misdemeanours you seem to indicate that they were only minor offences, which was hardly the case.
Don't forget, they agreed to a fine and demotion rather than have their books fully investigated.

Re: Tigers v Saracens (A) - Saturday 01st October 2022 - 3-00PM

They were not properly sanctioned, in my opinion, this was illustrated by the fact that after a year in the second tier, they were able to come straight back up and finish second. The industrial scale of their cheating continues to benefit their play and that is something I despise. Which is why all...

Re: Tigers v Saracens (A) - Saturday 01st October 2022 - 3-00PM

The game away to Saracens played on their carpet was a foregone loss. We haven't won there for ages and there is a reason for it. I think that is why the coach picked the team he did. Dan was player of the match last week so why leave him out if not conceding the match before the start, and using it...

Re: Worcester’s woes

That is my contention. We should only play the southern hemisphere once a year and then outside the regular season.
Alternate years, here and there. The clubs however must come first.

Re: Worcester’s woes

Central contracts really would be the end of the club game. You only have to look at what that did to cricket. There is no point in developing players in your academy, bringing them up to international level only to loose them for months on end. The inevitable consequence is a club game full of fore...

Re: Worcester’s woes

Warriors were wonderful on Saturday and played far better than their position in the table would expect. Yes, I wondered if Newcastle held back , feeling sorry for them or if it was one last hurrah. Whatever, it was very entertaining. After yesterday's news, I can only share their misery. One thing ...

Exeter V Quins

My family and I watched the game on TV and honestly, it was very entertaining. As we support neither side, it was surprising how excited we got. In the end, there was an argument about the validity of the winning try and the decision of the referee not to disallow it for a forward pass. The majority...
