Re: Please get behind your team v Exeter

Kelly has been excellent. I feel bringing back Moroni to replace Scott will be a master stroke. If Kelly can gel with Perese quickly too and the impact Kata brings off the bench we will be nicely stoked at centre! I know the power of Kata is effective in the tackle but we are more balanced in attac...

Re: Please get behind your team v Exeter

I don’t understand this scrum nonsense. Cole has mullered Sio there and gets no reward.

Re: Please get behind your team v Exeter

How can they not judge how quick someone is? What a stupid rule to have!

Jenkyns is not getting there but ‘we don’t judge the number’ cannot believe how stupid it is!

Re: Please get behind your team v Exeter

I think it was on radio Leicester that someone said if you had to be short in one position, then wing was the preference. It looks to me like the lack of a second speedster has cost us 3 possible tries already. Just glad we have OHC and JVP! Team in general only has two quick players. Real problem ...

Re: Please get behind your team v Exeter

Steward caught out there. We’ve started reasonably but a few errors from Pollard have cost us. To be fair IFW is a work class finisher and did an awesome job. It’s before IFW gets the ball, his feet are square and he’s ball watching. Trust the inside man, be side on and he would have been able to t...

Re: Dan Mckellar

Very balanced review on the season under DMcKellar in the telegraph- could someone post it as it’s behind the paywall?

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

How many people are successful at interview for a job whilst employed elsewhere and while working their notice immediately start working for their new employer, are involved in interviewing and appointing staff even before their new contract starts. I would have thought that more unlikely when movi...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Rumours are we have def signed another 12. But I don't think the squad looks as bad as people suggest, given it's not even June yet in terms of signings. See I don't get this, we need a 13 not a 12. Options at 12 next year brackets mean secondary position... Kelly Kata (Perese) Woodward (Myall) Opt...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

How do you know that? Olly Richardson with his ties to Tigers previously was likely a recommendation to McKellar from the club if not an appointment by the club. Dickens could have been either, hard to tell as it's possible McKellar became aware of him or met him at a Junior World Cup or similar. I...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

For people within their first year of employment you can just sack people for no reason and pay them two weeks' pay. They definitely were McKellar's picks . Just because they aren't Australian doesn't mean he didn't want them in his team. As a very big McKellar sceptic it is more reassuring to me t...
