Re: London Irish Away

Well it was a “ better” performance than last season! Not playing Reffell was a strange decision. Would like to see Williams on the wing (and Simmons on the other) as I personally thought he was one of the players who looked decent when he came on loan last season! I said it before we played a Iris...

Let’s grow up lads and not blame the ref for a poor 30 mins
Hear hear!
The ref isn’t the reason we are losing but he’s certainly helping. Frustrating first half in every respect. Get JT on for Brink and Leatigaga on for Bower
Reffell’s needed. Taufua won’t necessarily alter the breakdown

Re: Is Genge in trouble

1. Cowan-Dickie looks to maybe push Genge into Francis. 2. The angle I've seen you seen the movement for a headbutt (or push) but you can't see an impact. 3. With AWJ right there he would have demanded the ref look at it if he saw it. 4. We've only seen one angle on TV, the TMO had lots of angles h...

Re: Autumn Nations Cup

The most striking thing for me was that there wasn't a single point in the game where I felt Wales could win it. That's pretty unusual in this fixture. When a visit to Wales is a routine procession to victory for England, you know they are in a good place. They’ll spin it as transition but all 4 ho...

Re: Autumn Nations Cup

Awful game, badly officiated, biggest loser Rugby itself. England's work on high kicks illegal, doubt they will get away with it again. Oh get over yourself, for goodness sake. If that's your idea of a good game if rugby, good luck to you, the skill level of both sides was embarrassingly bad, the m...

Both Hogg and Gray have been magnificent sine their move to Chiefs — I thought Hogg had gone right off the boil but is getting back to his best now
Are you Scottish by any chance

Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021

I agree that Hogg Gray Richie Russell are likely to be the only Scots to go and possibly not even all of them given Gatlands blind spot for anyone not welsh even when they are clearly better. However the one guy I would add to that list if he’s fit is Sutherland. The Scottish scrum looks very destr...

Re: England's Worst 15

11 to 14 all have something in common... Jamie Noon needs to be in there for me. Louis is nonsense he gets hassle from many for not being Johnno, we missed him after he retired. Andy Long at hooker? Noon is a good shout at 13. God only knows how he won so many caps. Keeping players in their main po...

Re: Autumn Nations Cup

I don’t get all this misty eyed, romantic claptrap that sport should be about the ‘beautiful’ game. Sport, certainly at the professional level and definitely at the international level is about winning. End of. That about sums up the state of modern rugby. I'm just glad that I played when I did bac...

Re: Borthwick

If you have the right people, intensity is the carrot. You can see from Tom Youngs' performances pre and post Borthwick's arrival how the right people react to that intensity. Watch George Ford's expressions throughout a match - he is nothing but intensity and I doubt he's much different on the tra...

Re: Marcus Smith

Rumours of Marcus Smith leaving Harlequins at the end of the season have started to circle with a move to France or Bath being banded about. The question is would you take Marcus Smith in place of George Ford for the next three years? I’d take Smith, on the basis that whilst we’ve seasoned internat...
