Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

Rolling Maul Pod connecting us to Joel Kpoku. From about 17½min in. Basically saying we're in talks with him, unsure if it's for next season (unlikely but he may want a shot at the world cup). More likely for summer 2023 when he's out of contract. That said it all seems pretty early days from what's...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

Does anyone know anything about David Aniebonam? Currently a Loughborough student. We have a similar relationship with Loughborough as we do Nottingham. So we were loaned him for one of our PRC games at a time when Tom Cowan-Dickie was back with Pirates. If I remember correctly he actually came on ...

Re: Premiership Semi Final Play Off - Kick Off times confirmed

Got our Semi final tickets as soon as they were available. I’ve just looked on the website and cannot believe how many tickets are left. I expect Saints fans to take most of the 4,000- 4,500 left! Should be a great game especially as Saints have now beaten Quins and pushed Sarries hard. No way will...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

I think Vanes looks a fantastic talent but given he displaced Farnworth as starting hooker I tend to think he'll progress well from getting as many Championship starts as possible with Notts next season. With Dolly's injury I'd lean towards trying to sign a slightly stronger hooker than Cowan-Dicki...

Re: 7s ethics?

Ref should have blown up for held up over the line as the player didn't ground the ball. But who’s held him up, you can’t suddenly start making up laws to suit a situation. If the ref had anything about him he would have run up to the player and told him to stop messing around and get on with the g...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

What do we reckon - leavers to be announced this week given there's no fixture? Allows next week to all be about the Wasps match. Depends if all the leavers have been finalised. For example there's a chance that say had TCD been planned to be released, Dolly being injured may change that. Think I w...

Players Awards

https://www.leicestertigers.com/news/vote-now-for-your-tigers-players-of-the-year New player of the year I voted Freddie Burns, has been fantastic for us over the season, Ashton making a late dart but not here the full season so misses ou IMO. Young player of the year I went Dan Kelly, so important ...

Re: Tigers vs Wasps - 04th June 2022 KO 15:00

Selection at 2 & 16 for me is down to Montoya's fitness, with Dolly out, the last thing we can afford is no Montoya in the knockouts. If Montoya's fully fit start him and look to replace him early (no matter the current score). If we're happy with the gametime Clare's had then I'd go Vanes on th...

Re: Other Weekend Games - 20th to 22nd May 2022

Wasps scrum was destroyed by Sale and it won't be any better now that Stooke is out. They are a dangerous team, but it's hard to win games when your set piece is a disaster. Yet they beat us at at Ricoh, with a weaker team than they will probably have in a fortnight. Worth noting we were a pretty w...
