Re: Tigers vs Wasps - 04th June 2022 KO 15:00

i agree with the sentiments of the rolling maul podcast - the Wasps game is the start of "knock out" rugby - effectively a quarter final to secure top spot - then it's a genuine knock out semi final and then, who knows? So - for knock out rugby you go full bore - which is what we did v ne...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

Last Thursday on a bye week was a big popcorn 🍿 day.

What do we think, Leavers, Academy promotions, Odaise, more renewals and a couple of really under the radar signings?

Or am I being greedy?

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

So Jed Walsh/Morgan Meredith for Lancaster should I think be a decent cap saving. Lancaster would only have been in the "academy cap" not the main one, and Jed Walsh similarly. Meredith will not be in the cap at all (unless we are really paying teenagers over £50k straight out of school!)...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

Re Martin that might mean he has a limited number of starts especially if Liebenberg is skipper next season. Liebenberg on a different level to Martin in the 6 shirt, and if everyone is fit and available first choice back row is Liebenberg, MVS , Wiese with Reffell on the bench. With Liebenberg bei...

Re: 21/22 Injury/Suspension Thread

Is there any update on Nic Dolly, photo on Instagram of him in training gear but of course could be an old one Given with muscle damage they will wait for the inflamation and swelling to reduce before assesing the damage I would expect that it will be another week or so before the club know the ext...

Rolling Maul Pod connecting us to Joel Kpoku. From about 17½min in. Basically saying we're in talks with him, unsure if it's for next season (unlikely but he may want a shot at the world cup). More likely for summer 2023 when he's out of contract. That said it all seems pretty early days from what'...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

Does anyone know anything about David Aniebonam? Currently a Loughborough student. We have a similar relationship with Loughborough as we do Nottingham. So we were loaned him for one of our PRC games at a time when Tom Cowan-Dickie was back with Pirates. If I remember correctly he actually came on ...

Re: Premiership Semi Final Play Off - Kick Off times confirmed

Got our Semi final tickets as soon as they were available. I’ve just looked on the website and cannot believe how many tickets are left. I expect Saints fans to take most of the 4,000- 4,500 left! Should be a great game especially as Saints have now beaten Quins and pushed Sarries hard. No way will...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park

I think Vanes looks a fantastic talent but given he displaced Farnworth as starting hooker I tend to think he'll progress well from getting as many Championship starts as possible with Notts next season. With Dolly's injury I'd lean towards trying to sign a slightly stronger hooker than Cowan-Dicki...

Re: 7s ethics?

Ref should have blown up for held up over the line as the player didn't ground the ball. But who’s held him up, you can’t suddenly start making up laws to suit a situation. If the ref had anything about him he would have run up to the player and told him to stop messing around and get on with the g...
