Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2022/23 - Prisoner of Oadby Pre-Season

Watson recently spent time rehabbing with England but has not gone on tour to Australia, instead benefiting from a full pre-season with new Premiership champions Leicester. After a tricky few months, his focus is on the future. Actually got to read the full article myself now (thanks to archive.ph ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2022/23 - Prisoner of Oadby Pre-Season

Putting 2 and 2 together and making 5. Yeah I read the opposite. With him not rehabbing with Bath, whoever he is rehabbing with may even be able to share full medical details with Tigers if Watson allowed it, if it had been with Bath no way eould they share medical info with us... you'd imagine the...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2022/23 - Prisoner of Oadby Pre-Season

So have we essentially signed Watson without a medical? why would you have that impression? Putting 2 and 2 together and making 5. Yeah I read the opposite. Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2022/23 - Prisoner of Oadby Pre-Season

He will definitely get in once he’s fit and hits top form mate. take nothing for granted after his injuries Hot off the Labourgraph press. "On joining Leicester, Watson is not too proud to admit that he has had to accept a drop in salary, but at this stage of his career, now 28 and entering hi...

Re: 2022/23 wish list

I’m not totally au fait with all clubs squads for next season, but from what I’ve seen we are just about the only club who’s squad will at the very least not be any weaker next season. Not only because we have made some classy signings, but also the extra seasons experience that last seasons crop o...

Re: Premiership Final v Saracens - 18th June 2022 KO 15:00

Refs, like players, make mistakes. When that ref is one of the best it is hard for the other officials to challenge him. Should they have challenged him? Probably but hard to do so. Agreed. Barnes is the best ref in the Premiership by some margin for me but everyone makes mistakes. Was a red for me...

Barnes had an excellent game even though Steward might have knocked on before Freddie kicked the ball out to seal the win!
Yeah but a knock on with the clock red is still game over...

21/22 The season as a whole

What an incredible season it's been. Decided to start rewatching the season in full on prtv, it's amazing how far we've come just hearing the commentary talking about us in the early games, where we're just a club who got off to a fast start, but it was obvious that we would be reeled in once the bi...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2022/23 - Prisoner of Oadby Pre-Season

These are our back 3 options for next season: Ashton Browning Burns Hegarty Murimurivalu Nadolo (part of the season?) Porter Potter Saumaki Simmons Steward Plus Cusick who played there in the PRC, and not sure if Cokanasiga covers wing too? With all those options, especially since Browning and Simmo...

If we are looking for a centre to add depth. I know he used to be a saint, but Burrell could be an astute pick up

Yes. Obviously not like for like. Thank you for stating the obvious. Although given we know zero on specifics, and given their circumstances when joining, it may be closer than you presume. My point being that we’re carrying someone I can’t see getting many minutes next season, and losing someone w...

Interesting article on how Burns went down and up again in Borthwick's stock, plus some explanations on selection at certain points in the season.
