Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE V: Borthwick Strikes Back

If Bonilla leaves we definitely need another Fly half. With Ford possibly away with England for large parts and Hardwick seemingly beyond redemption, that would leave us only Henry & McPhillps. I think we could have done with some of the planned midweek games to have come a bit sooner so we could se...

Re: Next up London Irish - home - 5th March 2021

Earlier in the season we used to get ‘team talk’ videos of Steve discussing the team, which seem to have disappeared in recent weeks. Anyone know as to why this may be as I found them quite insightful when it came to selection questions. https://youtu.be/GV4YDKADviA This week they've done a chat wit...

Re: Next up London Irish - home - 5th March 2021

I think Moroni and Lavanini are our "overseas" players arent they? It's believed that Lavannini may have an Italian passport (why him, Montoya & Moroni have played together this season) however we do not know for sure which of the 3 it is that has a passport making them "not" overseas. would there ...

Re: Next up London Irish - home - 5th March 2021

Its interesting that Bonilla is not in the squad for tomorrow. Montoya is obviously injured so we are playing with just using 1 of the overseas players. So assuming Bonilla isn't injured, he has been dropped below Mcphillips in the pecking order. not particularly surprised but just thought it was i...

Worryingly, Irish have C.Rona at 13.........
If it's down to Moroni he'd have the pandemic tacked in a week.

Re: Next up London Irish - home - 5th March 2021

Borthwick's comments seem to imply that there's a few injuries behind this selection, so think it likely Montoya is carrying a knock.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERoh S 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE V: Borthwick Strikes Back

That was a sight to behold! Looks like the PE teacher running around with the ball being chased by the kids.. the guy is huge! Oh what a signing he would be! I'm guessing his size is exaggerated by playing in Japan? According to Google he's 2.03m so about 6'8" So although exaggerated he is still a ...

He's 25, so 5 years older than Henderson and Chessum, 6 years older than Martin.

To my mind he's a bit old to bring in as a project as we have enough good locks. I would prefer us to go all out for a International standard replacement for Lavannini.

I would urge people to look up Sanaila Waqa's try in the top league this weekend, he'd be a great project 2nd row
That was a sight to behold!
