It will be a very long time before we have 30000 seats available at WR and in the meantime hopefully there will be occasions (HC semis etc) when we will need the capacity. Going off on a slight tangent - I could be wrong, but I thought the HC rules said that semis must be played at a neutral venue ...

Last year it seemed that roughly a corner of the stadium had been allocated to each team, with the North Stand (the two-tiered bit) being for anyone.

It isn't anything that will be enforced like football, just how they've gone about selling the tickets. Probably makes the admin a bit simpler??

As described in the Grauniad's report on the Stade-Harlequins game:

"That pioneering Harlequins kit manufacturer could probably never imagine a time when the side would play a team who would make the famous multi-coloured shirt look drab"

Remember that the bonus points for being the closest in your pool don't count in the overall standings - for obvious reasons, whether you get them or not depends on how big your pool is and how good the other players are.

Golden score/drop goal shoot-out - has it ever happened?

I was watching the NZ-France game in the uni bar with my flatmates last night, and while it was 13-all one of them asked what happened if it was a draw. I explained that there would be two 10-min periods of "normal" extra time, followed by a further one of golden score (first to score wins...

Sorry Ben, I've been offline for a few days with moving to university. Basically, if you don't make a pick before the deadline, the system will enter your pick as a win for the home side, but won't enter a margin. Therefore you will get one point if the home side wins, but you won't get any margin o...

That feels really good...the last time City beat Forest at the City Ground was about 1970, though we have come close (notably a few years ago, when City were leading 2-1 at 90 mins and the ref seemingly decided to play on until Forest equalised) so to beat them tonight, with 2 goals in the last 2 mi...

Goal to Forest first minute - City apparently allowed the Forest goalkeeper to walk straight through them to score, right from the kickoff. It's thought to be a gentlemen's agreement as Forest were 1-0 up in the abandoned game.

Megson disappeared down the tunnel though...

Guinness Premiership prediction game

Sorry for the very late reminder, but I have set up a pool for the forum on the Superbru Guinness Premiership game. This is a predictions-based league, in which you pick the winner and a margin for every game, and then earn points based on which team won and how close you were to the actual margin. ...

I must say, I'm very pleased with my current position :smt001 For any new players wanting to join the World Cup pool, the code has now changed to autobags. I've also now set up a pool on the new Superbru game for the Guinness Premiership, imaginatively titled "Leicester Tigers", with the c...
