Re: Borthwick

It's still ambiguous, but to quote Eddie Jones... 'He is a loyal, hard-working and analytical coach but I understand he needs now to get out on his own following this campaign. He’s made that decision and we are really pleased for him'. To me, 'following this campaign' could mean after the 6Nations....

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

The repercussions of this will be huge for the English game, and I wonder how it might affect potential investors and sponsors, including those allegedly looking to buy into Tigers. It also puts a huge focus on whatever comes out of the Myners Report on the Salary Cap. Also, while I am not yet convi...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

BFG - some fair points there, and I agree re the bringing through and balancing of squads re England Players. it's pretty obvious where Tigers and Sarries have differed though by way of their extra expenditure - squad recruitment and ability to retain better players. I have lost awareness of how clu...

Re: Ravens or Tigers

Could be Tigers, but given the two academics are from Bath Uni, and they interviewed a 'recently appointed Head Coach' (Hooper?), my guess would be that they stayed fairly local for their research.

Re: No Centres? (again)

Talking of losing Centres, did anyone else see Manu coming off yesterday? It looked as if he was either injured or completely knackered - he came to stand on the wing for a while, and then walked off the pitch before Worth was ready to replace him. I think he had put in a good shift and I really hop...
I think I'd have liked to have seen Martin maybe on the bench with Spencer starting instead of Green, and Costelow starting with Hardwick pushed to centre or bench. Still, not complaining. Just giving an opinion :smt003
Martin...

Re: Mark Bakewell - gone? (Rumour)

If this is true, then surely the Club owe it to everyone involved to make an official announcement. This would clarify things and halt false rumours.
Unless, Bakewell has just suddenly up and left and taken everyone by surprise.

Re: Trouble at mill - May to go?

It's funny, for years many on here have bemoaned the fact that Tigers have lacked a winger with absolute pace. Now we have one of the fastest and best finishers in world rugby and to some he is a luxury we can do without. Contrast the massive investment the likes of Bristol (Radradra and the Piatau ...
