Re: Non-England World cup thread 2019

Reece Hodge cited for the no arms tackle on Yato. Good to hear but should have been a red in the match. May have given Fiji the right result.
Refereeing has not been good so far, with the notable exception of Sir Wayne!

Re: cashless madness - or is it??

Going cashless at WR will bring the ground in line with Twickenham and other stadia. It may reduce queues when purchasing but the losers here will be the kids who were previously seen gathering many discarded empties at the end of games and getting some easy pocket money. The refund of the £1 deposi...

A colleague has just suggested that he’s heard a rumour about Michael Cheika coming to Tigers. Have I missed something?

If the rumours are true and Harrison is leaving in December then I wouldn't start him over White or Simmons
The rumours on Sam Harrison leaving in December is news to me. Seems odd, why December rather than end of the season? Where is he rumoured to be going to?

Re: Quinn’s v Tigers

The BBC Sport website often does this - their default fixture list is all matches are scheduled for 3pm on a Saturday. Then along comes another broadcaster who will be televising the games and they "dictate" when matches will actually be played. BBC Sport then show the Saturday fixture as "postponed...

Ellis Genge

I may ruffle a few feathers with this, but in the last few games I really haven’t seen any reason why Ellis Genge is being picked as a starting prop. He doesn’t seem to break the gain line, he has spilled ball and there have been a few interceptions and passes to the opposition. The “Baby Rhino” has...

Re: What do you want on match day?

Not sure if this is true, but whenever the bangra drummers and dancers are in attendance, Tigers haven’t lost a game. So, whilst they may not be to everyone’s taste, if the statistics I suspect are true, are actually true, then give them a residency. The result is what is most important for the majo...

As a fully paid up member of the Pedant Society, can I ask that we type what we mean.
A player "resigning" is not the same as a player "re-signing".

Just going to put my hard hat on in anticipation of the abuse I know this post will get.

Can someone remind me what Phil Blake has been employed as, because on the current performance we still need a Defence Coach.

Re: Dear Murphs

There is no simple solution to where we are at the moment. But there does appear to be a serious dip in the confidence of the players. In years gone by, we may have been a couple of tries down, but our heads wouldn’t drop and the on field leaders would say what needed saying to keep attitudes right....

I don't think you can include McCall in the list of English coaches.

Matt Smith injury

Watched the replay of the “incident” that caused Matt Smith to go off injured, quite sickening. It wasn’t quite as bad as the Clarke incident on Rob Hawkins, but close. There was no reason for the Racing player to hold Matt’s arm all the way to the floor. TMO should have spotted this. What chance he...

Tickets for the Bath v Tigers game, 30 Dec

I have just tried to book tickets for me and my son for the game at Bath on 30th and have been unsuccessful. Their website showed no pairs, so I called their ticket office. The only pairs available have restricted views in blocks WJ and RS1. I was also offered tickets sat a row apart, probably not t...
