Re: Season Tickets

A few seasons ago, me and my son were on the receiving end of some abuse from a chap sat behind us. I'm assuming that he and his family sat with him were also season ticket holders as they were always there. This was in the big stand, Caterpillar/Holland and Barrett. What should have been banter tur...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

I can’t help thinking that all the noise around this in the media is coming from a small number of sources. Maybe it is Freddie, who as Manu’s agent is trying to get him the best deal. If true, spilling stuff is not in anyone’s interest, club, player or agent. It’s only my opinion, for one I will no...

Re: Price Waterhouse hired for restart.

You heard it here first. It will be a very expensive half-assed report largely unimplemented or ignored. We'll see. Just a thought, I wonder how people on this forum, who may work as a Management Consultant, for PwC or any other Consultancy firm would take your view on the quality of their work? Th...

Re: Price Waterhouse hired for restart.

I'm not sure if the 4 year old story about the US firm (all of the PwC firms operate as independent limited liability partnerships - LLP) has any baring on how the UK firm will perform assisting PRL with the restart.

Re: Sale vs Leicester - 21st February 2020

Sale away is never an easy fixture for Tigers. However, I was at least hoping for a losing bonus point. It may be just the TV camera angle but I thought a couple of Sale tries came from forward passes. But given they weren't pinged I suspect it must be the camera angle. Not sure the ref has had a go...

Re: Saracens are relegated!

And there is still no apology or contrition. This payment structure allowed them to build up a squad of top players, with virtually a doubling up of positions to cover injury, rest and international call ups. I believe Brian Moore described this on a number of linked Twitter posts. While those clubs...

Re: Non-England World cup thread 2019

Reece Hodge cited for the no arms tackle on Yato. Good to hear but should have been a red in the match. May have given Fiji the right result.
Refereeing has not been good so far, with the notable exception of Sir Wayne!

Re: cashless madness - or is it??

Going cashless at WR will bring the ground in line with Twickenham and other stadia. It may reduce queues when purchasing but the losers here will be the kids who were previously seen gathering many discarded empties at the end of games and getting some easy pocket money. The refund of the £1 deposi...

If the rumours are true and Harrison is leaving in December then I wouldn't start him over White or Simmons
The rumours on Sam Harrison leaving in December is news to me. Seems odd, why December rather than end of the season? Where is he rumoured to be going to?

Re: Quinn’s v Tigers

The BBC Sport website often does this - their default fixture list is all matches are scheduled for 3pm on a Saturday. Then along comes another broadcaster who will be televising the games and they "dictate" when matches will actually be played. BBC Sport then show the Saturday fixture as "postponed...

Ellis Genge

I may ruffle a few feathers with this, but in the last few games I really haven’t seen any reason why Ellis Genge is being picked as a starting prop. He doesn’t seem to break the gain line, he has spilled ball and there have been a few interceptions and passes to the opposition. The “Baby Rhino” has...
