Re: Jumping On The Try Scorer

It seems to be a case of taking advantage of the fact that whilst everyone is focused on the try, the fouled player is less likely to make an issue of it, similarly his team mates, and also the ref/linesmen. I've also noticed that in a similar way, citings are rarely made after a cup final, which I ...

Re: Pubs in town with ESPN and decent beer?

I'd also recommend the Salmon, though it is likely to be packed on Saturday. A nearby alternative is the very excellent King Richard III on High Cross St (Everards and Old Rosie Cider). Look for the Wetherspoon, walk right past it and you'll see a proper pub opposite.

Final w/e Sky coverage

Are Sky really only showing the one match this Saturday? I would have thought the bottom of the table match, and maybe the Exteter match would be worth a watch. Do any Sky subscribers have any red button info that hasn't made it onto the website?

Cheers, Mark

Re: ITV4 Highlights

I notice Mr Murdoch is throwing another scrap of rugby to the masses this Sat on SKY3 freeview. Saracens v Harlequins at 5.15pm. I think the deal is that when you've finished watching the match you're supposed to sign up to the full SKY package in gratitude...

Re: Memo to Team

I'd just also like to remind the players, those putting boot to ball in particular... 'The Pitch is Wider lads, much, much wider'

The BBCi sport selection at 15.00 was track cycling. There was a similar lack of Rugby last Sunday. Remember, this is the same national institution who regularly screw up the online Tigers commentary, hopeless.

Saw it on one of 4 screens at the Periwig in Stamford, which is a good venue for rugby if you can't get to Welford Road. Unfortunately there was no sound due to music, so I was totally bemused at the Munster man playing in bright red (womens?) underwear event. What was going on? Was it a bet? or per...

Considering the conditions, an excellent match to watch regardless of the result. I thought Tigers had more than enough ball to win the game, Munster took their few chances well. Once again, if Leicester can finish off some of the great forwards play, we'll be in with a shout of winning something. M...
